An interesting, and a little nerve racking, project completed this week, I was asked if I could paint the new mechanism cover and turntable on this 1957 Rock-o-la Jukebox…
The stickers were applied and the cover was reverse painted with acrylic paint, turntable prepared and sprayed, anti slip mat reapplied, job completed..

An Interesting project over the last couple of weeks, a niche perfume shop in Thame, the client wanted something a bit theatrical and dramatic, so we agreed on a distressed plaster effect in the brand colours, first we created the textured effect, then it was onto the broken colour, various processes to achieve the distressed looked then finished with a shimmer glaze..
The photos really don’t do it justice, the result is a very tactile finish that is the perfect backdrop to the LED highlighted shelves displaying the products.. a very happy customer, shop opened today in North Street..

A nice wallpaper job completed this week. Quite an awkward one as the paper comes as numbered panels with no room for errors, splicing around the window reaveals was a challenge to get an invisible join but it has turned out very well, clients are very pleased.
The paper has also been treated with 2 coats of Polyvine Decorators dead matt varnish to give it protection and allow it to be wipeable..

Another new build completed for Mark Stone Homes, a pleasure to work for a builder that demands high quality work, the photos don’t do this property justice, stunning views over the Thames valley from a balcony in the master bedroom, as always finished to a very high standard, and unsurprisingly sold before it was finished…

So I’m helping a mate with a wallpapering job, nice bold tropical theme, the pattern is as busy as buggery, across a window wall, of course by the time I get from one side to the other and have to join up from the top and Bottom to one complete drop again the pattern match is completely shot, time for some artistic overlap and cut thru’ splicing.... ?

An interesting project that I have completed today, this room is a garage conversion that had been done many years before the house was bought by my friends, the room was unused due to the fact it was always too cold, they wanted it to be a chill out room for their teenage daughters.. so...

I stripped out the plasterboard walls back to brickwork, insulated, re-boarded and plastered, drained down and stripped out the old radiators, re-routed the surface mounted pipe work under the floor, hung two modern stylish panel radiators, insulated the floor and laid a chipboard floating floor to take the new carpet, fitted new skirting boards, and some cupboards to contain the consumer unit and a drinks fridge, a few coats of paint, and finally fitting curtain poles and the TV...

The result is a nice modern room that is as warm as toast... just waiting on the new sofa..

All works except electrics and carpets completed by myself..

A return to Little Haseley, strip, prepare and line 2 walls before hanging the finish paper, this time a William Morris....
