Wow this was a hot one today! ☀️🥵

We called in Steve from South Gloucestershire Locksmiths to help out with the job today and what a busy one it turned out to be! 🔐

✔️ X4 new mortice locks fitted where there were originally just handles
✔️ X2 new handles fitted alongside a Union 5 Lever to replace an old existing lock
✔️ Gain entry completed on some patio doors with seized rack bolts
✔️ Wine cellar lock sorted after the customer couldn’t get the key in from one side
✔️ Replace a worn out mortice lock on a wooden stable door

All completed and working perfectly again 👌

And to top it all off, the customer even provided us with some sandwiches which definitely went down well in this heat! 😄

Another late night emergency callout completed 🚪🔑

The customer originally had an issue with this door around a year ago and contacted a “local locksmith” who quoted around £300 to fix it. Instead of repairing the issue properly, they removed the original latch and fitted a low-quality lock while claiming it was “high security”.

Fast forward less than a year later… the exact same fault happened again.

The customer contacted the same company expecting the repair to be covered under warranty, only to be told they were now apparently a “different company” and that she would need to pay another £300–£500 to get it sorted.

At this point, confidence was understandably lost, so she gave us a call.

We attended quickly, gained entry non-destructively, diagnosed the issue correctly and got the door operating smoothly again without unnecessary replacements or inflated costs ✅

Please be careful when choosing a locksmith. Many scam-style companies advertise cheap prices online, then dramatically increase the cost once they arrive.

We were called out to a property where an old lock had failed, leaving the door completely stuck and unable to unlock. After safely gaining entry, we replaced it with a high-security British Standard anti-snap lock for added peace of mind. 💪
