Exterior PVC Painting & Spraying Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Works
* The quotation provided covers only the works specifically detailed within the quotation.
* Any additional work requested after commencement may be subject to additional charges.
2. Surface Preparation
* All PVC surfaces will be cleaned and prepared in accordance with manufacturer recommendations before painting or spraying.
* Whilst every effort will be made to achieve the best possible finish, existing scratches, dents, discolouration, staining, weathering, and surface defects may remain visible after painting.
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for defects that existed prior to commencement of works.
3. Colour Changes
* Dark colours applied to white PVC may absorb more heat from sunlight and can increase the risk of expansion, distortion, or movement of the substrate.
* Customers choosing colours significantly darker than the original PVC do so at their own risk unless a manufacturer-approved colour system is specified.
4. Spraying and Application Methods
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services reserves the right to determine the most suitable application method, including brush, roller, HVLP spray, airless spray, or a combination of methods.
* Certain areas may require brush or roller application where spraying is not practical or safe.
* The chosen application method forms part of the service provided and does not constitute grounds for complaint.
5. Weather Conditions
* Exterior PVC painting and spraying are weather dependent.
* Works may be postponed, suspended, or rescheduled due to rain, wind, excessive humidity, frost, extreme temperatures, or other unsuitable weather conditions.
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services accepts no liability for delays caused by adverse weather.
6. Overspray and Protection
* Reasonable care will be taken to mask and protect surrounding areas, including brickwork, glass, paths, vehicles, plants, and neighbouring properties.
* Customers must ensure vehicles, outdoor furniture, and other movable items are removed from the working area before work commences.
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for items left within the work area after reasonable notice has been given.
7. Existing Seals and Gaskets
* Existing rubber seals, gaskets, trims, and weather seals may show signs of age, deterioration, staining, or paint contamination.
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot guarantee the condition of existing seals and accepts no responsibility for failure of aged or deteriorated components.
8. Paint Performance and Durability
* Paint systems will be applied in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
* Whilst high-quality products are used, Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot guarantee against future paint failure caused by substrate movement, impact damage, poor previous coatings, weather exposure, structural movement, or inadequate maintenance.
* Minor wear and tear over time is considered normal.
9. Curing Process
* Painted PVC surfaces may be dry to the touch within hours but can take up to 7 days or longer to fully cure depending on weather conditions.
* During this period, customers should avoid excessive cleaning, pressure washing, scraping, or impact to painted surfaces.
10. Access Equipment
* The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for any scaffolding, towers, cherry pickers, or specialist access equipment required to safely complete the works.
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services reserves the right to refuse to work from access equipment deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
11. Customer Inspection
* The customer is responsible for inspecting the completed work upon completion.
* Any concerns regarding workmanship must be reported within 48 hours of completion.
12. Payment Terms
* No deposit is required unless otherwise agreed.
* Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the works.
13. Rescheduling
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services reserves the right to reschedule works at short notice due to adverse weather, illness, material delays, emergencies, or previous projects overrunning their estimated completion date.
* A new date will be arranged as soon as reasonably possible.
14. Liability
* Valley Prestige Decorating Services shall not be liable for defects arising from weather conditions, substrate failure, structural movement, manufacturer defects, impact damage, misuse, or circumstances beyond our control.
* Liability is limited to the value of the work undertaken.
15. Acceptance of Terms
* Acceptance of a quotation, confirmation of a booking, or instruction to proceed with the works constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
