Hi all. The last two weeks I've been working away on this hall, stairs and landing. It's an older property and has recently been replastered. So it was back to the beginning with regard to the decorating ie mist coat on the plaster and lots of caulking the joints etc.
I've put some before and after pics to show the transformation. The doors are going to be painted sometime and then the carpet is replaced. So much cutting in but hopefully you'll agree the end product is a transformation.

For the last two weeks I've been in Westbury decorating in a bungalow.
The customer has recently had some work done which involved having a room plastered and a new roof on the conservatory so needed these areas decorating.
Each room had the full works, ceiling, walls skirting boards, woodwork and the doors. The front room also had the fire breast wall papered. I even remembered to take some before and after pictures this time.

Straight after my trip to Shrewsbury I was back on home turf and working in Trowbridge. The stock hall, stairs and landing treatment with lots of doors and spindles to keep me occupied. I also decorated the master bedroom master bedroom removing the feature wallpaper and hanging new plus decorating the rest of the room. All nice and fresh for Christmas.

Happy New Year to Everyone.
The end of 23 was pretty busy for me with two large jobs before Christmas.
One was for an ex colleague's parents who were moving into a retirement village. The slight twist in the job was that they live in Shrewsbury which is a lovely part of the world so I thought, why not. Accommodation was provided so off I went.
This was a large apartment so as I was sleeping on site 10/12 shifts were put in to get it done before the delivery men arrived with all the furniture. I got it done in time and I hope they will be very happy there.

This week I've been decorating a neighbours bedroom. The room was tired and in need of a make over. A local carpenter had recently installed some mirror doors to the alcove along with some shelving inside. The usual treatment from me, ceiling, walls and woodwork. I've included some before and after pictures to show what a little paint can do for a room. A new carpet is being fitted this weekend to complete the job. Looks nice.

This week I've been up at Suffolk working in a friends pub. It was hard but someone had to do it!
I've been decorating the rooms above the main pub which were in need of updating. In the lounge I decorated the room and installed a fireplace to make it a little bit more homely. There were loads of wires, sky boxes and routers to conceal which was done with some trunking and a box. There's a new suite coming in March.
In the long hallway it was a case of filling all the holes from past pictures and giving it a coat or two of paint.
The bedroom was stripped back to the bare bones and treated to a few coats of paint. This room will be the spare room eventually so just awaiting a bed now.
Just a special thanks to my customer who kept me feed and watered the whole time I was there.

Also whilst at the barn I also painted the landing and bathroom. The walls were originally painted in a cream colour but this was painted over with white. This brightened the area up somewhat and now looks clean and bright

After my summer break I returned the barn conversion. First job was to sand down the worktops in the kitchen and then oil them to protect them. I also painted the walls in the kitchen. The work really uplifted the kitchen.
