Job Overview

Would you like to work with a young and upcoming landscaping and tree services company? We are looking for a trainee landscaper and an experienced lead landscaper to join our team. You must be someone who will enjoy working in the unpredictable Cornish weather and be keen to learn new skills, won’t mind learning to do something in a different way, is enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and has a sense of humour. An interest in horticulture would be an asset to the team. You are not ‘just’ a landscaper to us, you will become a valued member of our close-knit team. If you are looking to apply to the trainee position we will always be sharing knowledge with you at every opportunity with the opportunity for you to grow with us over time.

Prenn Landscapes is a young and growing company which is building a reputation for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, enjoying projects requiring a bespoke approach, attention to detail, and that most would just say no to. What we will be doing:

We undertake projects including timber and composite decking, paving, custom timber frame garages, sheds and structures, earthworks, walling, land clearance, hedge trimming, chipping, tree dismantling, tree felling and management to name a few. We enjoy taking on varied and interesting projects.

Your working Day:

Your working day will start and end at our yard in a TR3 postcode near Bissoe. You must be able to get to and from our yard at the start and end of the day. Employees typically cycle or drive to the yard – the nearest bus stop is roughly a 35 minute walk away. We typically work 40hr Weeks. Although we currently work Mon-Fri 8-4.30, for this summer we are looking to trial Mon-Thurs 7.30-5.30 with Fridays off. Working hours will vary by season and day.

This will be a permanent PAYE position offering a minimum of 20hrs per week. Our previous landscapers in this position averaged over 40. With Time and guaranteed work flow this could become a salaried, full time position.
