I do whatever I want šŸ˜‰

Planning my own day, and my weeks, is something I’m so grateful for. No two days are the same, but there’s always creativity ✨ and I often say ā€œgosh I love thisā€ about something (usually a fabric).

Also a gentle reminder that if I can pivot from a teaching career (that I also loved), you can too!

The thing with mistakes is to learn from them… and that’s really hard right now because:

ā–«ļøI love my job more every day.
ā–«ļøI’m working with lovely clients.
ā–«ļøA little rest fuels me more than I anticipate, so creative bursts come and won’t be ignored!
ā–«ļøThere’s big things going on behind the scenes which add excitement, adrenaline and a laser focus on why I do what I do - more in my next newsletter on that.

Any business owners have any tips on being your own worst boundary breaker?!

If I didn’t make a career change and start my business I would have been at work for my birthday.

Admittedly I did a little work today, but it fit in around my simple pleasures plan.

It’s SO busy right now preparing for exciting changes, I loved this calm day to recharge and think big about the year ahead ✨

If you’re thinking about creating a business around your lifestyle go and do it! Create a life you don’t need a holiday from šŸ¤

When so much is brand new it can look too forced, there’s stories, character, curiosity and the beauty of hand made, not mass made, hidden where you least expect it šŸ¤

What’s the favourite treasure you’ve found or been gifted?

When new clients say they love green… I know we’ll have a great time.

For this room it took a little convincing as Matt was tempted by blue…. but he trusted the vision and saw the magic of green. Is green your go to?

We had a hiccup……

The wrong colour trim came and the job would be held up, so new ones delivered this evening and loved seeing the progress.

We’re at the point where the many months of design are coming together and these are the details that matter.

Design co-ordination is the dusty, messy middle but so satisfying!

This is what I was hoping for…

When we moved to Cornwall I knew I’d enjoy exploring new places and felt excited that my work would take me to them.

With projects in stunning surroundings like Kingsand, Mylor, Fowey and now Helford I am so grateful to draw inspiration for the designing the interiors of such beautiful homes.

Follow to join the journey as a quaint home in one of most beautiful places is transformed. Let me know if you’ve been, maybe you’ve stayed in one of these cottages?

The audio says it all really, but with the introduction of smart home technology, a magical layer of automation, your home goes an extra mile to look after you.

It takes your daily routines and turns them into luxuries, and that’s something wonderful.

Working on the design of was an honour of 2025, we wanted to create somewhere that felt like it could be a home, not a showroom. What do you think? Did you think this was a house?

PS an extra special part of this project was the commissioned trio of paintings in the green room which my clever friend Sarah created šŸŽØ
