THE funeral arrangements for popular chimney sweep James Hughes (James the Sweep) have been revealed.

James passed away peacefully in hospital on January 18 (2022). His funeral is open to the public and takes place at 10am at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium (Kent & Sussex Crematorium), Benhall Mill Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5JJ on Thursday, February 24. James was the Master Chimney Sweep for Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Southborough and nearby areas of Kent & East Sussex. He was a generous, kind and hard working tradesman from Southborough who kept hundreds of customers safe by sweeping chimneys for more than 20 years. An esteemed member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, James Hughes will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
