Most clients ask an interior designer one question before commissioning: what is your style?
It is the least important variable in the decision.
The things that actually determine whether a project is successful — whether you receive what you were shown, whether the process is managed with care, whether the home works as well as it looks — are almost never visible in the portfolio.
Seven questions that actually matter, and what honest answers look like:
01 — Are you BIID Registered?

02 — Who will actually work on my project?

03 — What is your material specification process?

04 — Do you hold any specialist credentials?

05 — How do you handle contractor relationships?

06 — How many projects are you running simultaneously?

07 — Can I speak to a previous client?
Full guide with what to listen for on each answer — in The Edit, link in bio.
Save this for when you need it.

The stone does not ask for attention. That is precisely why it commands the room.
A floor-to-ceiling limestone fireplace wall — the kind of material decision that takes courage in a brief and looks inevitable in the finished space. Every other element — the rounded oak table, the sage textiles, the arched doorway — exists in conversation with it.
This is what considered design looks like: not a collection of beautiful things, but a room with a point of view.
We are currently accepting a limited number of new commissions for 2026. Private enquiries via the link in bio.

Your home is talking to your nervous system. The question is what it's saying.

Biophilic design isn't about putting a plant on a shelf. It's about recreating the sensory signals that tell your brain it's safe, calm, and alive.

As a certified biophilic designer, I look at 14 distinct patterns in every space — from natural light cycles to organic forms to the sound of moving water.

Here's what the science says your nervous system is actually responding to 👇

Direct nature connection — views of greenery, natural materials underfoot, plants at eye level

Indirect nature connection — nature-inspired shapes, textures, and patterns in fabrics and surfaces

Space and place conditions — refuge, prospect, mystery — your brain is wired to read the room

When these signals are missing, the body stays in low-level stress. When they're present, cortisol drops.

This is what I design for.

A pantry should do more than store.
It should regulate visual noise, support routine, and quietly reinforce how a home feels.

This design prioritizes:
• Full-height cabinetry to reduce interruption
• Integrated lighting to soften daily rituals
• Material continuity to maintain mental clarity
• Display that feels intentional, not excessive

When storage is designed with restraint, the space becomes stabilizing rather than stimulating. This is how functional spaces contribute to well-being without asking for attention.

Save this if you believe luxury is experienced in the moments no one thinks to photograph.

Let’s talk about yoga rooms.

Whether created in the quiet of your home or within a dedicated studio, a thoughtfully designed yoga space encourages regular practice and supports both body and mind in strengthening, restoring, and aligning.

A serene setting enhances mindfulness and relaxation, fostering a deeper connection to self. When designed with care, these spaces become sanctuaries for balance, well-being, and thoughtful living.

At the heart of our philosophy is the belief that spaces should nurture a healthier, more centered way of life rooted in purpose and respect.

A bedroom should be a retreat, a place where calm and clarity are woven into every detail.

What elements create a room designed to slow down, to breathe, and to be fully present?
• Soft ambient lighting
• Muted tones
• Rounded forms and curved corners
• Subtle textures and gentle patterns

These details guide the eye without distraction, while large windows frame the natural light and connect the interior with the natural rhythm of the day. This is a bedroom that supports relaxation, replenishment, and mindful living.

There is a certain calm that emerges when a home is allowed to respond to nature rather than compete with it. Light is not treated as an accent here. It becomes a structure.

Materials are selected for how they feel, and how they support the rhythm of daily life. When design is rooted in intention, the space begins to do the work for you.
