Paul Culshaw is a self taught artist, who took up painting soon after a bad car crash. For him, painting is relaxing and it sooths the soul. Paul's art revolves around a basic love of old music; music that was born as the 20th century began. Jazz, The Blues, Hillbilly and onto Swing, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Country Boogie, Rockabilly and of course all things Rock 'n' Roll. The Mexican holiday 'Day of Th

Entitled; Magic Round About. It Saturday morning and everybody’s rushing around the ‘Magic Round About’, Florance controls everything but Doodle is concerned and Zebedee is upset for some reason, he bounces uncontrollably around!

The outrageous ‘Bum Bum Girls’ hail from New York, where their name is infamous! The Bum Bum Girls are loved as they perform the art of Burlesque!

Entitled; Kilroy was Here? Youth cults and a few 80’s Pop stars, a mixture of stuff.
Painted on a soft canvas, it’s size 56 X 56 cm and it’s price is £140…

An explanation follows….
First across the top of this painting, we see train carriages journeying and inside these carriages from left to right we have; Showaddywaddy and then an empty carriage, then the Stray Cats and then The Jam, then Mari Wilson and then another empty carriage again?
Below we see the words Madness and then acctual ‘Adam Ant’! Then ‘Toyah Wilcox’ and then ‘Boy George’, then the words; The Specials…then The Wag Club, look it up.
And below that we venture into the world of Youth Cults; a Mod, a Rude Boy and a Skin Head girl, A New Romantic and behind that a Psychobilly originally known a Punkabilly. Then a Punk girl getting friendly with a Teddy boy and behind ‘Chippie’ and a Soul Boy….
Below that it goes from right to left; a Skin Head and then we’re pulled into the ‘Teds V’s Rockabilly’s world in the early 80’s…
And there we have, it an egg shell…
