Another job draws to a close in Apollo Close in Dorchester. We have been so lucky in the last year or two where we have been looked after so well and this job was no different, from the moment we arrived to today the plate of chocolates every day was 🔥

As usual got so many people to thank for there help on this job. Matthew King at Jewsons, Dave at Bradfords, Portland Skips & Landscaping Supplies, SJR Carpentry, Louis Knight, L.W Plastering & Maintenance , Sam Scaffolding Dorset Ltd & Pete Wiffen.

Nice to give back to these amazing people that do so much and work so hard. We got our two lovely cats from there in 2020 and have always followed the centre since. When this came to help them I couldn’t not.

A massive thank you to MB Builders who spent this morning working in the scorching heat to build us a new step, free of charge!! It looks great and we are so grateful. We are always being blown away with people’s kindness - thanks again! 😊

Bit of a slower start to 2026 for various reasons (🌧️ mostly) but finally all but finished the extension we’ve been working on in Apollo close in Dorchester.

We are Incredibly lucky to meet fantastic people in this job. Again we’ve landed on our feet here. Nobody wants to ever leave because of the 🍪😄

Will do all my thank you’s once completed some extra outside landscaping works.

Dunno where to start really, but as I know lots of previous customers keep an eye on my page and Id thought I’d share the news.

Yesterday was hardest day I’ve ever had in business or life. Indi wasn’t just a normal dog to me she was my work buddy, she been there since nearly day 1 of my journey and I know no different than her being by my side on my jobs. The great highs and lows, meeting all the wonderful people I do and generally seeing her in van guarding my tools. (Brilliant at stranger danger barking 🤣)

Life moves on and whilst it won’t be same, Wilma & Vera will still guard those tools.

Thanks to all my previous customers who I’ve contacted for there thoughts. Much appreciated.

We are currently seeking an experienced Builder to join our team due to an increase in workload over the coming months, with potential for ongoing opportunities.

About the Role:
We undertake a wide range of projects including:
Extensions
Concrete bases
Patios
Driveways
General building works

The successful candidate must have proven experience within the building trade and be confident working across varied projects to a high standard.

Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in the building trade
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full clean UK driving licence
Own vehicle (essential)
Willingness to travel across Dorset for contracts
Start Date: Early to Mid April

Well tomorrow is the last day of another brilliant year in business. Our 13th year and without doubt the best business wise. Not only have we produced some fantastic work for new and old customers but we have linked up with a second Conservatory company to build their bases. More of them will be seen on here next year no doubt.

As per usual I've got loads of people to thank. I'm not the best at saying it to each of them but simply wouldn't be able to do none of this without you all.

To the trades, Darrin for putting up with me bossing him around. SJR Carpentry, SW Liquid Screed & Spray Rendering Ltd, Louis Knight, Merridan's Plumbing & Heating Sam Scaffolding Dorset Ltd, Dorset Felt Roofing Ltd, Mark Spicer at Purbeck Windows and Geoff & co at Scard & McCarthy for all your hard work. To suppliers Matthew King at Jewson's & Sam Portland Skips & Landscaping Supplies for continually getting stuff on site on time without fail.

But the biggest thanks is to the rock Bekah Barrett its been tough year outside work and without you doing what do with family I wouldn't be able to do what I do.

2026 already looks busy and long may it continue.
