Wishing all of our customers, followers and admirers, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS🎄✨ As the year comes to a close, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Sanderson Tree Care this year.

It’s been a year of crisp winter mornings and summer sunshine, to storm call outs, tricky removals, beautiful reductions, tidy hedges and everything in between, it’s been a busy one.

We’ve met so many lovely customers, worked in some stunning locations across Rutland and surrounding villages and towns, shared plenty of laughs as a team fuelled by tea, biscuits and Cake Fridays 🍰☕ and we’re incredibly grateful for every job, recommendation and 5⭐ review.

🌳 HOLEY MOLEY! From a client concern to cracking out the Crane! What We Found Inside This Tree Shocked Us 😳

Last week in Ashwell Village (Rutland, near Oakham), we were called over while working on a neighbour’s property to take a look at a large Lime Tree the client was worried about.

From the outside, a small cavity near the base didn’t look too alarming but after climbing up to inspect it properly, we discovered serious internal decay.

From 10ft up all the way down to the root system, the stem was almost completely hollow, with just around 25% sound wood left supporting a 50ft crown 😨.

We immediately advised emergency removal. Because the tree is within a conservation area, we submitted a 5-day notice to the council.

we returned to safely remove the tree using specialist equipment including a cherry picker and crane ⚙️🚜 and now one very happy and safe client.
