We host our second charity Golf Day on Friday 4th September 2026 at Llanwern Golf Club.

We have received incredible support from local businesses and supporters of Newport County in terms of sponsorship for the Golf Day.

We would like to thank Carl from the Glascoed Wellbeing Hub in Usk for sponsoring the putting green at our Golf Day on Friday..

At the Glascoed HWB they invite you to come and try a varitity of services to increase mental clarity and general health amidst the stresses of everyday life.

⭐️The Monmouthshire Beauty apple tree is officially in stock at Monkswood Garden Centre! ⭐️

This rare apple tree was originally grown in Malpas, Newport between 1750 and 1800 and once thought to be a lost, this dual-purpose apple is making a quiet but significant comeback.

We are incredibly proud to play a part in its comeback. These trees are hardy, beautiful, and uniquely adapted to our Welsh climate.

At Monkswood Garden Centre, we believe in planting what belongs here. That’s why we’ve partnered with Native Wales to supply fruit trees that are specifically native to Wales and Monmouthshire.

We are proud to stock heritage trees from Ian Sturrock, preserving the unique Welsh orchard legacy. From soil to sapling, these trees are grown with the help of veterans, giving back to those who served while protecting our local nature.
