Project Overview:
Shard Architectural Gazing was entrusted with a high-end glazing project for The Quach House, tasked with designing, supplying, and installing large 4-panel sliding doors spanning 8 meters span, three large fixed screens measuring 2.4m in width and 2.6m in height, and a range of other tilt and turn aluminum windows.
Client Key features request;
- A flush track for easy access to the patio through the sliding doors.
- Large fixed windows to be installed as a single piece.
Challenges and Solutions:
Flush Track Installation: by working closely with Pebble Property Management (Contractor), we ensured the openings were prepared precisely to accommodate the sliding door frames, resulting in a seamless flush track installation.
Heavy Glass Transportation: To meet the client's request for large, single-piece fixed windows, Shard AG employed a special glass robot to transport the glass units, each weighing over 200kg.
