Last year a lovely lady contacted me to ask for advice about planting her garden with lots of colour as most of what they had planted themselves had died off. Typical new build soil with little goodness so advised them to add bags of soil improver for over winter.

In May I went to 2 nurseries and chose a selection of 25 plants for ground cover, height and colour.

My lovely client has sent me this photo of everything coming into bloom and I am delighted that they are happy with what I have done for them.

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks since our Easter break where I’ve assisted with cutting over 500 pieces of trellis for Local Friendly Handyman’s job in Croston last week, then 2 garden tidy ups in Clayton Brook and Chorley towards the end of last week.

Friday saw me building a bespoke wooden planter for a fellow small business owner to house a Cypriot Fig tree as well as mowing a lawn/border tidy for 1 of my regular customers.

This week started with helping the other half install a gate/fence in Leyland on Monday before visiting my 91 year old mum in Chorley to wash her hair and “put rollers in”. Challenging afternoon/evening as mum’s boiler decided to throw up a fault code so no hot water and then a radiator decided to dump water all over the carpet 🙈🙈🙈. Luckily emergency breakdown cover through house insurance saw emergency plumber coming out within 12 hours of me ringing them.

2 gates installed Tuesday, then couple of quotes for new customers completed and today saw me mowing another lawn for a regular customer as well as few job quotes.

Out of office is now activated as we are heading down to Weston super Mare for a long bank holiday weekend and then making our way back through Wales next week.

Back to work week commencing 11th May.
