A good garden maintenance team should do more than just mow the lawn.

Our team brings together skills across lawn care, general garden maintenance, tree work, planting, pruning, and specialist knowledge of a huge range of plants and garden styles.

Which means when you have a maintenance contract with us, you’re not juggling five different companies to keep your garden looking its best, we can take care of the whole thing.

From shaping trees correctly, to knowing when and how specific plants should be pruned, feeding lawns properly, managing seasonal planting, and spotting issues before they become expensive problems… experience really matters in garden care.

One team. One point of contact. One beautifully maintained garden.

Top 3 gardening myths that could actually be damaging your garden…

“More water equals healthier plants”
Usually the opposite. Overwatering can weaken roots and encourage rot.

“You should prune everything in spring”
Not always. Some plants flower on old wood, so badly timed pruning can mean no blooms at all.

“Feed plants little and often”
Too much fertiliser can create lots of leafy growth but weaker plants overall.

Gardening advice gets passed around for years, but not all of it is doing your garden any favours.

A really exciting project underway in Radley.

We’re currently carrying out the landscaping for this beautiful garden based on a fabulous design by Fern & Pine Garden Design Studio and it’s already starting to take shape.

Hardscaping is going in, planting has started, and we can already tell this one is going to be a special transformation. We’ll be sharing plenty of progress updates along the way.

We genuinely love collaborating with talented garden designers across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Wiltshire, taking creative ideas and bringing them to life with high-quality landscaping and attention to detail.

So if you’re a garden designer looking for a professional landscaping team to work alongside, we’d love to hear from you.

Small plant. Big personality.

Chives are one of those garden essentials that quietly do a lot more than people realise.

They’re easy to grow, brilliant in the kitchen, and thanks to their natural sulphur compounds (that give them that oniony smell), they also act like a bit of a natural pest deterrent, helping to keep aphids, carrot fly, mites and even Japanese beetles at bay.

So while they’re happily sitting there looking unbothered… they’re actually doing some serious behind-the-scenes garden work.

Fresh flavour + natural protection = pretty useful little plant.

One of the best parts of this job at this time of year? Working in gardens like this when the peonies are putting on a show.

Honestly… is there a flower more loved than a peony? Big blooms, unreal colours, and about two weeks where everyone becomes slightly obsessed with them.

“Transformed my garden from a flooded clay pit into a wonderful green lawn we look forward to using over the summer, thanks to Royston and Chris!”

A huge thank you to Chris for this brilliant Google review, positive feedback honestly means the world to us.

For this project, we carried out top soil removal, laid fresh new turf, and installed smart metal edging to completely transform the space ready for summer.

Seeing gardens go from unusable to somewhere families can properly enjoy is exactly why we love what we do.

Here’s our number one tip… don’t be shy with the pruning.

Wisteria needs a proper cut back twice a year, once in summer (after flowering) and again in winter. Cutting those long whippy shoots back to a few buds helps the plant focus its energy where it matters… producing those big, beautiful blooms instead of just loads of leafy growth.

It might feel a bit brutal at the time, but trust us , it’s the secret to that full, cascading look everyone wants.

A patio isn’t just slabs and a price per square metre…

When you invest in a professionally installed patio, you’re paying for everything beneath the surface as much as what you see on top.

It’s the groundwork that stops sinking and movement. The correct sub-base, carefully compacted in layers.

It’s precise levels and drainage so water runs away properly (not straight towards your house). It’s clean, consistent joints, sharp edges, and a finish that actually lasts.

You’re also paying for experience, knowing how different materials behave, how to work with your space, and how to avoid the kind of issues that only show up months down the line.

Done properly, a patio shouldn’t just look good on day one… it should still look good years later.

When the sun’s out, your garden gets thirsty… but that doesn’t mean your water bill has to skyrocket.

A few small changes can make a big difference. Watering early in the morning or later in the evening helps stop it evaporating before your plants even get a drink. Mulching your borders is another game changer, it locks in moisture, keeps roots cool, and cuts down how often you need to water.

If you’ve got the space, collecting rainwater is one of the easiest wins. Your plants actually prefer it, and it’s completely free (we love that). And instead of a quick sprinkle, give plants a proper soak less often, it encourages deeper roots and makes them much more drought-tolerant.

It’s all about working with your garden, not against it.

May = everything starts growing… fast.

If your garden’s suddenly looking a bit full on, here’s what you should be focusing on this month:
•Regular mowing is key at this time of year but don’t scalp your lawn. Keeping a slightly higher cut helps strengthen the grass and reduce w**d growth. Stay on top of w**ds early too, especially perennial ones, as they’re far easier to control now than once they’ve established deep roots.
• Light hedge trims are also ideal in May to maintain shape before the heavy summer growth kicks in.

A couple of expert pro tips from us:
• When mowing, try alternating your direction each time, it helps prevent ruts and encourages a much healthier, more even lawn
• If you’re feeding plants, apply fertiliser just before rain (or a good water-in) so nutrients actually reach the root zone instead of sitting on dry soil
• It’s also the perfect time for planting summer bedding, feeding your plants, and keeping everything well watered as the warmer weather kicks in

A little effort now makes a big difference later, trust us.
