Hanging Baskets Installed for J R Harding & Sons! 🌸🏢✨

Absolutely loved putting these bespoke hanging baskets together for the team at J R Harding & Sons, and they are now officially up and on display!

When designing displays for a busy local business, the key is creating maximum visual impact while ensuring the plants can handle the elements. I designed these baskets with drought tolerance in mind, blending beautiful textures with tough, resilient plants that will thrive all summer long without needing constant babying. ☀️🌾

The Plant Lineup:

Texture & Movement: Stipa 'Pony Tails' and Festuca 'Blue Select' add gorgeous, airy movement.

Structure & Scent: Salvia rosmarinus 'Riviera' (Rosemary) brings a lovely fragrance and hardy structure.

Burst of Colour: Trailing Verbena 'Deep Rose', Begonia 'Non-Stop White', and the vibrant Geranium 'Dark Neon Purple' create a stunning, high-contrast cascade of blooms.

♻️ Designed with Sustainability in Mind:

What makes this design so great is what happens come winter. Once the summer display has finished, the hardy elements, like the evergreen Festuca, the structural Rosemary, and the Stipa grasses, will be removed from the baskets and planted out directly into the ground.

They'll get a second life thriving in the borders, making this a fantastic, sustainable, and budget-friendly choice for the business!

Style that keeps on giving. It was a pleasure working with another great local business to help elevate their premises and give their visitors a brilliant, green welcome. 🌿💼

Paid a visit to one of my regular clients for a general tidy-up and some structural pruning. ✂️🌿

This customer absolutely loves everything to be kept pristine, and because they are so consistent with their feeding routine, the results speak for themselves.

Right now, absolutely everything is in full bloom and looking amazing!

The borders are putting on an absolute show from the dramatic Peonies and elegant Arum-lilies, to the vibrant Salvia, Astrantia, and the stunning Hydrangea 'Runaway Bride'. Plus, the roses are looking spectacular right now (with the standard Rosa 'Hot Chocolate' 🍫🌹 being my absolute favorite!).

Getting these spaces looking neat, tidy, and bursting with color is exactly why I love what I do. When a professional eye and a dedicated client team up, magic happens! 🌸✨

Wow... what a difference 21 days can make!

Check out the before, during, and after of this lawn transformation.

Thanks to , we have taken this grass from looking a little sparse and patchy to absolutely green, lush, and incredibly full! The thickness and vibrancy coming through now is unbelievable.

To keep it looking this pristine, I’ll be keeping it fed using their One Shot Wonder and Premium Lawn Feed as required throughout the season. 🔋✨

They say time flies when you're having fun (or just weeding!). ⏱️🌿

I’m a few days late celebrating because I've been so busy out in the dirt, but Plant It Right has officially reached its 1-year milestone!

What a wild, busy, and incredibly rewarding 12 months it has been. From finishing up my training to launching this business and transforming so many beautiful gardens, I’ve loved every single minute of it.

Taking the leap to turn my passion into a full-time career has been the best decision I ever made.

I want to say a massive thank you to all of my amazing clients who have kept my diary full, my trailer loaded, and trusted me with their outdoor spaces over the past year.

🌸 Border Control: Feeding the Future 🌿

While the lawn is busy germinating, I’ve been turning my attention to the borders. It’s one thing to plant a garden, but keeping it thriving—especially in peat-free compost—is all about the "fuel" you put in.

I’ve just finished a full feed across my home borders using the Plant Gains lineup, and here is why I’m using these specific products:

🧪 The Peat-Free Secret
Many people don’t realise that peat-free compost requires a different approach. It’s great for the environment, but it can be "hungry" and let nutrients wash through quite quickly.

Plant Gains 6-Month Peat-Free Feed: I’ve put this down as the foundation. It’s a slow-release insurance policy that ensures my perennials have a steady stream of nutrients all the way through the summer. ☀️

Plant Gains Liquid Plant Food: This is the "instant boost." I’ll be using this regularly to keep the flowers popping and the foliage deep green.

Plant Gains Seaweed Extract: I’ve given the whole border a drenching of this too. It’s like an immune system booster for plants, helping them handle everything from late frosts to summer dry spells. 🌊

The Goal: Stronger roots, better flowers, and a garden that can take care of itself.

🏁 The Work is Done! Now we wait... ⏳🌿

That is my home reset officially in the books! 💪

I’ve spent the last few days getting stuck into my own garden, and I’ve followed the full pro routine:

The Lawn: Mowed, scarified, and aerated. I’ve now applied the Super Seed, Premium Lawn Feed, and a heavy top dressing.
The Recovery: Finished off with a drench of Plant Gains Seaweed Extract to kickstart the recovery and get those roots moving. 🌊

The Borders: Everything has been fed with Plant Gains peat-free specific nutrients (Liquid and 6-Month Feed) to make sure the plants aren't left wanting.

It’s looking a bit "raw" right now—which is exactly how a proper renovation should look! The seed is down, the nutrients are in, and now it’s over to mother nature (and a bit of regular watering) to do the rest.
