Really enjoyed turning the old garden into a new modern feeling entertaining space. The customer had already started the prep work by taking out the loose stone and we took out all the old slabs, laid a w**d membrane down all over the base and put hardcore all over to give us a solid base once compacted. We used a 100mm square granite cobbles to form the circle and 450x 450 porcelain slabs with a 100mm boarder around each one to then be filled with slate chipping around the rest of the garden and in between the slabs, making the slabs stand out and by using a different stone and colour in the circle making it a feature of the garden. The customer then changed the decking and added lights to make the garden complete.

We got asked to come and make this area into a drive/extra parking space, we happily obliged, and were really happy with the outcome. Using a charcoal 3 size tegular as a boarder and infill and using a concrete back edging as a retainer we made this space into a useable parking space.

Completely transformed the whole area around this house, going from one side, across the front down the other side and into the garden. Digging out all the old horrible sticky mud and grass and replacing with artificial grass in the back and side garden. Also putting a clean stone drainage system in to help with the drainage in the back garden and using sleepers we created the raised planters. We reduced the level on the side of the house to get away from having a steep unusable slope, to which the customer can now easily store bins and recycling boxes and retaining the path and steps with a sleeper wall. Also by putting a row of concrete back edges in we were able to protect the air vents to the house to still allow air flow. For the front and side we removed all the plants, w**ds and bushes and put decorative stone in for a maintenance free finish. Really happy with the overall finish of this transformation.

When the customer moved into the property the only thing retaining the ground were some large unsightly trees which were removed (not by me)which caused the ground to fall away and collapse. The customer asked for a retaining wall to match the blockwork of the house and to create some safer more manageable steps to get to the house. We also prepped the top area ready for slabs to be laid and tidied up the front garden ready for grass seed or turf. We made sure this was going to be as strong as possible by concreting the cavity with a steel framework in the middle which had been drilled and resined to the concrete footing. I was really happy with the outcome of this job as was the customer and the neighbours.

Really pleased with the finish of this garden, especially as we had to battle the elements to get this one over the line. Doing away with the old tired slabs and making the patio areas and pathways bigger, using kandla grey Indian sandstone and a charcoal brick paver boarder throughout. A nice new angled pergola in the corner with a new patio underneath to unwind on a nice summers night. A new front doorstep was also installed along with a new custom side gate.

Another visit to uphill to an on going project I’ve already spent a lot of time on. This time, creating 3 doorways from the old part of the house into the new part, meaning the upstairs can progress and be finished. Also completely renovating the outside getting it ready for the winter months and prepping ready for the next phase. Massive thank you to Somerset Grab Hire Ltd for a 16tonne loaf of stone and the removal of 48 tonne of spoil.

Back to a 2 storey extension I completed for Honeywell Construction earlier this year, this time to renovate the garden. A stunning transformation making it an enjoyable, usable space for entertaining or just chilling out. With a couple of nice big planters for veg and flowers should make the garden nice and colourful and self sufficient.

An amazing driveway transformation out in Congresbury. Taking the old tired driveway, which had three different finishes and levels to this stunning all in one driveway, also replacing the old retaining bit of timber/decking to the side of the drive with a 9 inch retaining wall. Always a pleasure working alongside GC Garden Renovations, great job.

This was a full garden refurb, new fence, needs patio, new front path, new artificial grass and a concrete base ready for a shed. This was an absolute pleasure working on this project and the end results are extremely pleasing for both myself and the customer. Although, the weather couldn’t make its mind up, either being 30 degrees plus or absolute torrential rainy. With thanks to Somerset Grab Hire Ltd for another reliable drop of stone and pick up of mud,
