South London heatwave test… passed ✓

This project replaced an old conservatory that was too hot in summer and too cold in winter to be used comfortably.

During last week’s hot weather, the rooflight brought daylight deep into the space while the external overhang helped shade the strongest midday sun.

The best part? The room was simply being used as intended.

How did your home cope with the heat?

Nearing completion on this first floor extension project in Oxted.

Decoration is now complete within the principal bedroom, with joinery fitted to the walk-through dressing area and final touches underway in the en-suite shower room.

Forming part of a wider programme of works including an additional first floor extension and extensive ground floor reconfiguration, the project has substantially transformed the house while carefully integrating traditional detailing throughout.

External decoration and landscaping will follow later in the year. More to follow soon.

Work is now well underway on this rear and side extension project in West London.

With the internal and external walls removed and the new steelwork in place, the ground floor has been fully opened up to create a single continuous space for kitchen, living and dining.

This opens up the rear of the house to natural light and creates a direct connection to the garden.

Still very much a building site, but the new scale of the space is now clear.

There’s always a moment where a project stops being drawings and starts feeling real.

Standing in the garden, holding up a model we printed in-house against what is a very typical suburban bungalow…….and beginning to see the shift.

The proposal opens the house up with a full wrap-around extension and a tall glazed rear façade, allowing the plan to breathe and light to move right through it.

All approvals in place.
On site this summer.

We’re reworking this Clapham mews house with a new open-plan layout, expanded kitchen, and garage conversion.

For this project, we 3D printed the layout so the owners could properly see — and actually hold — how the kitchen, dining and living spaces will connect once the walls come down.

When you’re opening up a home, the small decisions really matter. How you move through the space. Where light lands. Whether it genuinely feels generous. Being able to test it physically at this stage gives real confidence before building starts.

It’s not something every project needs, but where clarity really matters, it’s a brilliant tool to have.

Our new website is now live.

It currently showcases a few recent projects, professionally photographed to show the work at its best. We’ll be adding more projects throughout the year as they are documented.

The site is designed to give proper space to our projects, process, and approach to domestic architecture — a more considered reflection of how we work with clients and consultants.

A key moment for the practice — Our first RIBA Chartered Practice signboard now displayed on site in Oxted.

Although we’ve been RIBA Chartered from the start, this is the first time we’re rolling out our site boards. More coming soon.

Work is underway on a new project in Oxted - The existing detached property will have two first-floor side extensions designed to match the character of the original property, using similar materials and detailing.

To the rear, a single-storey glazed extension will provide a more contemporary addition that complements the traditional architecture — adding space and light while respecting the home’s original style.

The sun has been bearing down on our current kitchen extension and internal reconfiguration project in Thornton Heath.

We’re delighted to be working again with Mulas Construction Ltd. And they certainly aren’t hanging around with this one.
