Busy week this week that saw 3 boilers installed including a system conversion from gravity fed to pressurised, removing the old tanks and cylinder after a major leak. Here’s the last one of the week, vertically flued combi for combi boiler with upgraded control and filter.

Baxi WM38/3rs. Unable to establish a pilot. Floppy yellow flame not heating the thermocouple causing the flame to go out. A quick clean of the injector and thermocouple for good measure and we got a crisp blue flame and an established burner.

Bank holiday no heating and hot water call out , a failed gas valve. Luckily for the customer we keep a decent stock of parts for same day fixes on our van. Within half an hour this was resolved and a bath was being run for their young toddler.

Called out to a boiler leak but on closer inspection the boiler was in very poor condition. Various leaks throughout, a collapsed inner flue mixing combustion gases with clean air to be recycled in the combustion chamber and the combustion door seals that where once foam had turned to powder once touched . The boiler was switched off and isolated, a new boiler, updated programmable thermostat and a pipework freshen up was fitted on bank holiday to reduce the inconvenience.
