Have just completed this overhaul of a downstairs cloakroom for a lovely family…

- one main light removed, replaced with two spotlights
- extractor fan replaced and re positioned within the shower cubicle
- holes in ceiling filed with plasterboard, joints taped and ceiling fully plastered, mist coated and painted
- shower tray removed and replaced with new
- old pipework chased out of the wall (due to previous leakage) and new pipework installed
- new toilet and sink/vanity installed
- radiator removed and new radiator re-positioned
- PVC panels fitted all around
- new shower screen installed, replacing curtain
- flooring laid to finish the room off

Undertook two repair jobs this week, for rental properties.

The remit was clear - this wasn’t a complete refit, rather repair what was already there to give the best outcome.

Property one -
Tiles were falling off the walls due to excessive moisture behind tiles, mainly due to grout falling out and silicone completely gone round the bottom and edges. Originally, 12 tiles were expected to be replaced, but in the end 34 needed replacing.

Property two -
Joists and floorboards had rotten away under the shower trag, causing the shower tray to sink and further leakages due to no silicone. Stripped back, removed rotten floorboards and joists. Fixed new joists in place, including attaching to strong joists and providing additional support underneath. New boards laid where needed, shower tray re-laid, sealed and now all is level and water tight.

Low cost jobs, giving the customer exactly what they wanted.
