As people are feeling the crunch of their energy bills going up we are all trying to find a way to help reduce them. A customer from Lancaster got intouch to ask for a price for the removal of cement render and to replace with a breathable insulating lime and Cork render.. next door then decided they would do the same too! Semi-detached houses both going for the same high insulation concept which will make them energy savings for many years to come..

Both sprayed and drying out ready for top coat.

Top coat will be Lime Greens WP finish with a sponged finish..Pics to follow.

Due to the cement pointing and very porous sandstone this gable was suffering from severe damp problems. Normally we would remove the cement pointing and replace with lime mortar to allow it to breath again but as it was exposed to the elements we decided it would be best to lime render over it. We removed the cement pointing, spray applied diathonite thermactive approx 25mm thickness and then hand applied lime greens WP sponged finish in "chalkwhite" colour.
