Huge congratulations to Hannah on her well-deserved Distinction! 🎓✨

It's been a "long time coming" but Hannah truly is a "mastermind" for successfully intertwining Taylor Swift and Architecture in her Master of Architecture dissertation "The Pop Culture Gap: Integrating the Scenography of Taylor Swift Era’s into Architectural Discourse". In our "wildest dreams" we might never have seen how pop culture and phenomenology could be so intertwined, but she found the "invisible string" to connect Taylor Swift's Era's and the built environment. The examiners agreed, awarding her a well-deserved Distinction. It's the "love story" between architectural theory and pop culture that we didn't know we needed."Long live" all the time she spent writing, we are simply "enchanted" to see what she does next. 👏👏👏

The audiology suite at one of Dorset HealthCare’s clinics was flooded following a pipe leak. RLM were called in to detail the remedial works and the fit out of a full audiology room as well as a room to contain an audiology booth. This is what it looks like now!

Here at RLM Architects, we’ve been trialling some extra Christmas staff over the festive period…

While very enthusiastic, our Xmas gonks proved far too mischievous…shredding documents, photocopying themselves & causing chaos in meetings 🤭🎄🎅🏻 So unfortunately we’ve had to send them packing!

👉 Swipe to see their behaviour unfold…!

RLM Architects will be closed from 12noon 24th December, returning 5th January 2026, (with slightly fewer gonks!)

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! 🎄🎅🏻🌟

APPROVED!
Our client came to us after their extensive bungalow redesign was refused and refused again at appeal. RLM Architects, working alongside Blue Town Planning, were appointed to refine the scheme into something that met planning expectations without compromising the additional space or the client’s design aspirations.
The result is this former one bed bungalow now has approval to be transformed into a 2/3-bed chalet style home, complete with an open plan kitchen, dining and living space that flows straight out to the south facing garden.
✨ Swipe to see the approved design, the inspiration behind the proposal and what the client has to say about us.

✨ WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE! ✨

Lucy is now in her third year of the Master of Architecture and Professional Practice degree, enjoying the challenges and opportunities this stage of study brings.
She is currently working on her Thesis Professional Reflection, exploring how mnemonic architecture can shape spaces that inspire remembrance, reflection, and personal journeys.

This work is also enhancing her professional growth, building transferable skills and knowledge that support her development in conservation architecture, where a deep understanding of heritage, meaning, and memory is essential. Great work Lucy!

We are proud and delighted that Hannah has been awarded a distinction in her latest Master’s module, Practice Management and Professionalism. This module explored architects’ professional duties, legal and regulatory frameworks, and the management of practice operations. The result reflects Hannah’s growing expertise in combining design with the business, ethical, and strategic aspects of running an architectural practice.
Well done Hannah!!

Set within the historic market town of Warminster, Christ Church is a Grade II listed early English Gothic church of 1830–31 by John Leachman. Its west tower, with pinnacles, parapet, and clock, stands as a striking landmark at a busy junction, while later 19th-century additions, including a reredos, alabaster pulpit, and stained glass, enrich its Gothic character and contemplative atmosphere.

RLM Architects were nominated for the LABC Award for Best Public Building and Best Inclusive Building by Wiltshire Council for this project. The work included the installation of a new timber screen with internal rooms and church community facilities on the first floor including a lift. The screen works as a focal point for the church, whilst remaining subservient to the important historic features it intertwines with.
