Thank you for featuring us in your guide to events and shows 2022. It’s wonderful to have the support as we breathe new life into this much-loved Windsor Show. Known locally as the ‘rose show’ the late Peter Seabrook remembered in the 1960’s bringing horse boxes full of roses to exhibit but as with many local shows it fell into decline. Today it is being led by two creative ladies know to the horticultural world - former RHS Chelsea Show Manager and Former Editor of Gardens Illustrated . Their ambition is to build on the shows impressive heritage and develop it into a highly regarded boutique show. Alex said “Our aim is to inspire people to spend more time connecting with nature and away from their addictive glow­ing screens. It is more important than ever to educate ourselves about plants, wildlife, gardening, growing produce, traditional crafts and eating well. We have something for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s creating a bouquet fit for the Queen’s table, whipping up a Jubilee trifle or crafting a lovely quilt that will last for generations. We want to create a day out that feeds the soul and encourages us to be happier and healthier as individuals”.

The Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society is greatly saddened by the the passing of our Honorary President the highly respected gardener and broadcaster Peter Seabrook. As you can see from the photos at the 2019 show his enthusiasm and delight in engaging children in gardening was so infectious. He will be sorely missed.
