The Linden Landscapes team has been busy this weekend helping the amazing community in Symonds Yat clean up some of the horrendous damage they have suffered when the River Wye flooded to unprecedented levels.
It has been our pleasure to offer our services.
We spent the weekend being looked after by Victoria and her brilliant, friendly staff at The Old Court Hotel.
Saturday was spent cleaning thick layers of mud from a new shower block and office at River Wye Caravan and Camping Site.
Kim and her family and staff were fighting their way through losing their personal and business items but still managed to look after us brilliantly.
Today was spent clearing fallen trees and felling an unsafe hawthorn for Mike and his team of volunteers at Biblins Campsite which had been under water.
Thanks also to Sue who helped organise things for us and for everything she did for us.
It was great to meet Ali and her family at The Riverside Pub.
In short,
We were humbled by the incredible people we met who were still smiling and welcomed us with open arms in spite of their dreadful experience. They were all inspirational in their resilience and drive to carry on and to try and get back to as much normality as possible.
Thank you all and we will be back soon.....
The best thing we can do is get down there and show our support for all the businesses and the people in the community.
