I do miss using good old traditional Creosote. These new replacement products don't have a patch on it. I keep forgetting how good it actually is.
(Being a listed farmhouse, creosote can be used)

Keep your tins out of direct sun.. 🤣 they pop when hot.

Now have to clean off a load of solvent based Jacobean Walnut woodstain.

I'll be tanned and sticky for a few days. 🤣 winner.

Reduced. £150 for the pair. I'm currently restoring a surf board and a victorian cast iron bench. These are now taking up space.

All the rot scraped out, Toupret UK wood hardener applied. Repair care 4 system used along with repair care putty replacement.

Walls scraped and Zinsser UK peelstop applied where necessary.

Walls finished in Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry tinted to Brilliant White.

Windows finished in Weathershield High gloss system in Brilliant White.

Fascia and sills finished in Weathershield High gloss system tinted to F&B 31 - Railings.

Door step prepared and finished in woodstain tinted to Rich Teak.

The weather really did me over on this job. Taken so much longer than expected.

Oak Side tables x 2, fully stripped back, filled, finished in Fiddes Mellow wax tinted to Jacobean, polished to a sheen.
Solid hair pin legs installed in Satin Black, with added floor protectors.

These are heavy duty, 1 off sidetables made from oak and finished to a high standard.

A lovely industrial look to them, whilst the grain is really brought out with the wax.

Great addition to a living room or bedside.

Weekend off, but I can't sit still. 🤣

This is not a service I offer, it's not my trade. This was just a bit of a DIY project for Susie's mum, in order to fit a swing seat that I will be building next weekend. But I thought it looked pretty cool so had to share.

Scraped/sanded back where required.

Osmo wood reviver gel applied.

Osmo UK UV Protection Oil 420 in Clear Satin.

Much improved and will last a few years until the next refresh.

With the level of water damage on the ledges, despite sanding and wood reviver gel, still couldn't get back the original colours, next time it's done, a light oak stain rather than clear coat would be more suitable to even it out.

But the 420 having the added benefit over the 410 of built in biocide, all the black mould spores shouldn't form this time.

I have a set of reclaimed oak side tables currently being made. They will be finished industrial style with matt black hair pin legs.

My plan is to finish them in Jacobean Mellow Wax.

Before I do this, would anybody like them as a commission piece to choose the finish/colour/stain on the tops?

They will be listed at around £300 for the pair.
