A spot for the weekend in a garden just finished…
Somewhere to unwind and take in the long views across the paddock land. Sheltered by deep borders, it’s a space that has been designed for relaxation, with a feeling of being immersed in the landscape. It’s lovely seeing this garden come together, to make sense of the space and it is now partially uploaded on my website.

few of my favourite details from the Goodness Within show garden last week Royal Windsor Flower Show for Freely Fruity. It was such a mix of amazing sponsorship and fab suppliers for which we are so grateful and much effort from us all that it felt a joy to pull it all together. We had so many comments about how it showed how much can be achieved in a small space. Most of the garden has been relocated now… the edible meadow to a local school in Berkshire, the meadow turf to a local church. The structural elements are ready to be reused in one of Freely Fruitys orchards to form a community garden at the site. Pics in order: 1. Mycelium structures looking striking, amazing and inviting lots of conversation 2. The Raspberry canes on the corners , meadow poking through and dead hedge behind. Hall Hunter Woven Wood UK 🌱 3. Beautiful pear tree Doyenne du Comice Wholesale Plant Nursery with keyhole garden behind 4. Edible meadow- Meadowmania | Wildflowers Uk all grown on at home 5. Our small pond with water mints 6.A view across the garden 7. The Freely fruity dream team making the magic happen 8. So many plants were bought but also there were many personal touches too- the keyhole vegetables generously grown by a Freely Fruity volunteer, 9. the sweet rocket held on for the show and came from my Mums garden 10 Jane and I - tired but happy 11 The vision that became the reality❤️.

It’s been such a busy and exciting time designing and building a show garden with Freely Fruity for the Royal Windsor Flower Show. It was a real surprise to be asked, and I’ve loved creating a garden that reflects both their values and my own.

Freely Fruity have been wonderful to work with throughout the process – with the entire team in the final month or so and with Matt, CEO, from the beginning whose passion for ecology and freely fruity has shaped the overall brief and special key features.

We’ve also felt welcomed by the Windsor Flower Show team and by everyone who stopped to visit and chat. It’s been a wonderful experience. More photos of the details to follow

Had a great time designing a show garden for the charity Freely Fruity at the Royal Windsor Flower Show. I look forward to sharing pics of the finished garden soon.

Freely Fruity has been given a show garden at the Royal Windsor Flower Show alongside royalty.

It was my favourite kind of day today where we started to get the planting in, and I am so grateful to have had my colleague and friend Jane volunteer to help with the planting as well. We still have gaps and lots to do tomorrow but happy with progress - the edimentals side is almost complete, the focus is now on the edible meadow and our thyme path. Our fabulous fruit trees look spectacular in the garden and give the garden a lovely atmosphere too.
