At Last I can finally reveal my latest upcycle as I just had to let my customer see them first obviously! One of my customers who had previously purchased from my Etsy Shop asked me to find her some large bedsides to complete her new decorated bedroom. The Mid Century G Plan Drawers were just perfect. I had a vision in mind after she sent me some photos of her bedroom. I even suggested we added some little legs to add some extra character. However what I didn’t realise was these bedsides didn’t have a base for me to fix the legs to. After a bit of searching I found a technique where I could attach some bases to the bottom using a pocket jig method ( see photos ) this allows them to be screwed into the sides of the drawers without going through the wood! With a little help from my lovely son-in-law Sam We did it 🙌 I sprayed the legs gold, resprayed the beautiful handles in the same gold and added a stencil on the inside of the door fronts to really make the handles stand out. The colour we chose was ‘Putty’ by Fusion which is such a beautiful greige colour. A really warm neutral that will go with most decor in any room. These bedsides have been very well made back in the day and are heavy so really sturdy pieces. Just totally love how with a bit of imagination those unloved pieces of furniture can be turned into something unique and stunning. My customer is over the moon and so am I they are totally transformed and I know will now be reloved again. Please scroll on to see before photos. They will be on their way to Bromsgrove tomorrow to live in their forever home 🥰

One of my lovely customers had a little console table her mother in law gave to her. She asked me to update it for her to live in her Cornwall home. After removing the varnish, primer then paint we added the gorgeous handles and I added some brass feet with gold pigments to bring them all together. Not a brush mark in sight and my customer is delighted with her new console table. No need to buy new is something I feel very strongly about. Nothing wrong with this well made solid wooden table it just needed another chance to be loved again. I really love seeing my customers faces when they see the results 🥰 scroll on to see it’s first look 👀

This vintage cabinet I upcycled in November 2023. Hand stencilling the back became so annoying but I never gave up just walked away a lot! Anyway the purpose of this post is I absolutely 100% loved its design and knew its worth. I did however feel sad that it didn’t sell. However today my faith in my work has been restored 🥰 a lovely gentleman in Norwich has purchased it from Upcite. He’s over the moon and he cannot wait to have it in his home. It’s really made my day but patience is still something I lack in. Today my post is about believing in yourself. I let my creation knock my confidence because it didn’t sell straight away. It has taken longer but eventually somebody has bought it and they will love it even more when they see it in the flesh. Today is a good day and I’ve got to learn to be kinder to myself. My overthinking brain needs to take time off and breathe 🧘 I now believe in my creations i just need to calm down when they don’t sell straight away 😜 ❤️ ❤️

Finally finished this beautiful vintage sideboard. As you’ll see from its original look I think we’ve done this piece a well deserved makeover. The original grain on the drawers was not something I felt the need to keep so I painted over those. The woodgrain on the doors were enough to remove the original varnish very carefully as not to damage the grain and applied Osmo oil on them to make the grain pop. I decided to frame the doors by using tape and added Black and Gold which I hope you’ll agree makes this piece really stand out. The paint I used is self levelling and not a brush mark in sight 👀 Vintage furniture is something that has been making a comeback for a long time now. It may be old but the craftsmanship is something I just love to see and work with. The original hardware was solid brass and so pretty I cleaned them up and sprayed them gold. What do you think? I hope you like it? This piece will be looking for its forever home and is available to buy. I can arrange a local delivery by myself and my hubby 😉 or I can organise one of my lovely couriers who will deliver nationwide in the UK and Northern Ireland. Please scroll through to see her before the makeover 🥰 #

Another transformation for my lovely customer who didn’t want to part with this Hi Fi Unit her and her husband have owned for almost 35 years ❤️ it had a makeover a few years ago but they wanted to let me bring it back to life. So off with the old paint, handles, trims and all the hinges etc. No longer used as a Hi Fi Unit but now it’s got a brand new outfit and new purpose. A new backing was made as holes were no longer required. The bottom is still a cupboard and when the lid is lifted it has a storage area to put things in. Fusion Ash was the choice of colour and several Redesign by Prima Furniture Transfers were applied. The love of flowers and plants was my goal to create a pleasing appearance over just plainly painted. Some beautiful crystal k***s were added to compliment the interior of their sunny lounge where “Unchained Melody” will now be placed for everyone to enjoy. The name was perfect for this Piece as it was my customers song for their first dance 🥰 at their wedding in 1991. No need to buy new when there are plenty of options to renew, redo and updo pieces of furniture that have plenty of life left in them. Please scroll through to see the transformation ➡️

Finally I can now reveal a much loved upcycle for one of my lovely customers. The space where it was going to stand was measured and I got to work in sourcing the ideal cabinet. My customer lives in a Beautiful Period Home and so something with character and charm was their choice. I found the perfect piece in London and was originally purchased from Harrods a long time ago. Upon delivery we chose the colour to compliment the room which was currently being redecorated and having wall panelling fitted. They also agreed for me to remove the wooden shelves, original beading, locks, hardware etc. Anyway before I go on and on I got to work. After the usual prep I removed all the varnish, locks, mouldings, hardware, and filled in all the holes with filler. My first time using such an amazing product called Deco Curve. A bendable trim made of wood ( a hairdryer was used to warm up the material and then it became flexible ) was applied for a more up to date finish on all the doors. A bendable trim was needed as the doors were curved and I have to say what an amazing product. I’ll tag in the company I bought it from as they do so many other designs and really make a difference. Wine Glass Racks were added on the inside top. A glass shelf was also cut to shape and I fitted it in a bit lower than the last shelf that was originally there. The existing mirror was fine but I added a trim to finish it neatly as there was a gap around the edge and I didn’t want that to show. Magnet cupboard catches were fitted to allow the doors to close as all the old locking mechanisms were removed. Primed first and then Painted in ‘Tapestry’ by Fusion Mineral Paint with a Polyvine Satin to Finish. The Pull out table top and inside of doors were designed by adding a mixture of Redesign by Prima Transfer to give the cabinet a stunning botanical look when the drinks are being prepared and served. Rechargeable light strips and some beautiful chrome handles fitted and voila this beautiful very much unloved drinks cabinet was brought back to life. An absolute beauty even if I do say so myself. Meet ‘Mojito’ 🍹 my customers favourite cocktail. Please scroll for before pics 😊

Found this gorgeous little side table today and managed to upcycle it so it could sit perfectly in this little cozy nook area for my customer today 🥰 Solid Wood was found after removing the orange varnish so a subtle wash with Tapestry by Fusion Mineral Paint and a sealed finish with Rustoleum Clear Wax was all it needed to bring it up to date. SOLD for £250 was £395 and on its way to its new home in London. My Painted Pieces that are in stock have been reduced. However I have 2 unpainted Nathan corner cabinets in stock ( like the one I’ve just sold ) if this is something you may like to have in your home? I also have a bigger cabinet that has glass cabinet doors ( see photo ) that is also available for commision. They really do brighten up those empty corners in any room of your home even the bathroom as the paint I use can withstand steam! I can do any colour, decoupage, stencilling etc. PM me for details x
