Engineered Oak Herringbone floor completed last week, leveling the floor first to get it dead flat using bal rapid 30 then leaving it for a week to loose all the moisture and laying the herringbone pattern finished off with a 120mm bullnose skirting.

So the customer sent me a couple of photos and ideas of what she wanted for her book shelves and reading area and this is what I gave her! I had to build the units in the room as I couldn't get them through the house, I started off with 10 sheets of 25mm MDF and a few lengths of timber mouldings and this is how it turned out.

Finally had my logo and coat of arms designed and hand drawn by a herealdic artist.

There is a lot of elements that are symbolic and meaningful as is the case with most crests and coat of arms.

The new DEWALT DCH172 18v XR Ultra Compact sds drill.

UK stock coming in 2 weeks!!

This thing is awesome I have been using it for a year now and I don't have a bad thing to say about it, its the smallest and lightest drill produced by Dewalt only 2.1kg, you can use it as a rotary hammer or rotary only, the largest bit I have used in it is a 14mm, drilling through 50mm timber and into brick ready for wall anchors to be fixed.
It's perfect for working at heights as it's so light and has next to no vibration.

😓 I had a love / hate relationship with this floor!
It was my first parquet floor and it was for my bro.
So before I layed the floor I built the chimney breast it was plastered and the stone fire surround was fitted, then I moved on to the floor using level max to level the floor.
Then set my first line by working out my cuts either side of the room and setting chalk lines.
I ran my first line from a square template and sent the floor from there.
