In preparation for another heating season powered by our own seasoned firewood, we have had the chimney lined. The pumice-lined and insulated chimney that was built about ten years ago has started to block with deposits too frequently so now sports a stainless steel liner. Yesterday was a busy day with lots of washing machine loads but our solar pv system and battery was able to supply all but 10Kwh of our needs, and that was supplied at the lowest tariff early in the morning. It is always great when the sun shines.

A little progress on our grid-connected battery storage system. The location of the battery has required some reengineering to a few tool storage racks and some strengthening of the wall with an 18mm ply lining. With that complete, some ingenuity, a trolly jack, and a bespoke cradle the battery pack has been hoisted to its position on the wall.
