🔨 Field Shelter Roof Replacement & Timber Protection 🌿

Another great project completed recently – this time replacing a failing onduline roof on a field shelter that had begun to collapse.

The old roofing was removed and upgraded to juniper green plastisol corrugated sheets, giving the structure a much stronger, longer-lasting and weather-resistant finish. This type of roofing is a fantastic choice for outbuildings and shelters as it offers:

✔️ Excellent durability and strength
✔️ Long lifespan with minimal maintenance
✔️ Superior resistance to harsh weather conditions
✔️ A clean, professional look that blends nicely into rural surroundings

To complete the job, the timber was treated with Barrettine wood preserver, helping to protect and extend the life of the structure. This treatment provides:

🛡️ Protection against wet rot
🪲 Defence against insect attack
🍄 Resistance to wood-discolouring fungi
🌧️ Enhanced durability against moisture and the elements

The result is a solid, refreshed shelter that’s built to last and ready to withstand the seasons ahead.

☀️ No rest for the wicked this Bank Holiday Monday! The weather’s amazing, so we’ve been hard at work at home.

We’ve started the huge task of re-fencing all 9.5 acres into smaller paddocks. After weighing up all the options of different types of fencing, we’ve decided to replace all the wooden posts and mains electric tape – definitely the most financially viable route for us in the long run.

With the ground being so rock hard, we’re beyond grateful for investing in a petrol post driver… it’s already proving worth its weight in gold! It’s a big job ahead, but it’ll be well worth it once it’s all done.
