Ok, quite a big one…. Technically our biggest with all the stuff round the back that we did before.

But this time they had…. Three trees out and stump ground into oblivion. Huge path built, a hundred meters of boarder laid, wood chips planting area, four large raised railway sleeper planter beds, old drive ripped out and 24 PACKS! Of pavers laid…. My poor hands.

Whole thing super grouted so it’s all w**d proof forever and looking mighty fine by the end if I do say so myself.

I forgot to take the first picture with the trees in…. But they were there…. And one was a biggun!

Nice big rebuild to start the year off…. Well, we have done other stuff but I’m getting lazy with the posts if it’s something we’ve done before.

But here we’ve…. Torn up all the old crappy tarmac drive and old patio and taken over 50 tons out at the front, then hammered down a good layer of hardcore everywhere, lovely blue slate chippings for the drive (36 tons of it), cobbled a border along the lawn edge and built a nice Indian sandstone patio round the back and a smaller one by the front door. Then we moved the old patio round the side of the house, reset a water tap and a few drains and then put up the massive fence and frankly quite ridiculously heavy custom gate that we built.

Bloody tree roots and concrete slabs everywhere, so a but of a pain, but turned out nicely.

Oh we took out a monster tree stump too…. Bloody thing was four foot wide.

On to the next!

Shed building this week….. more like a log cabin to be fair. Very sturdy, insulated and double lined. It’s a real beast!...

Nice little garden rebuild on this one. Took up all the old rubbish, put in a lovely coloured patio, a nice cobbled planting boarder and put some fresh turf down.
There’s a drain access hidden in the grass now and the whole garden looks bigger after we removed the big spikey bush in the corner.

This one was a drawn out pain, but a good result.
Complete garden rebuild!

96 tons removed, garden height lowered, old patio pulled up, block paving replacement with nice wide stairs, drains all replaced and upgraded, massive retaining wall built (a really well re-enforced one that took hundreds of breeze blocks, concrete and steel bars and mesh that you can’t see) spare patio for a workshop base up top, turfed it and put in a rockery…. Oh and a couple of drains round the front too.

The fellows still doing work inside and out so the place is still a mess…. But that’s not my doing.

Check it out…. First few are what it did look like, all old and falling to bits!

Just need some plants and a few finishing touches, but he’s doing them himself, so promised to send follow up photos in spring.

Couple of gardens done next door to each other.
First two photos are the one we did last week, last two are the neighbours…. Grass has grown in on the first one. Can’t even tell that there’s two sunken drains in the middle of the turf now.

Next door is just finished today, so might take a few more days to catch up, but since we literally plowed the whole lot on both sides down to the soil, they’re looking a lot better now.
