A small but beautiful barn conversion set in wonderful open countryside.
We've taken a dilapidated barn, added to it thoughtfully with a glazed oak framed extension, and created a lovely home here.
Lots of daylight, and those views over the open fields creates a unique place.
Air-source heat pump and under floor heating gives energy efficiency with clean lines internally.
A lovely house and home.

What to do with a mid century estate house? - Make it mid century modern of course!
We've really enjoyed remodelling this house with a redefined entrance and porch, fine brick detailing inside and out, wonderful handcrafted kitchen cabinetry and polished concrete floors and expanding the individual rooms into a bright open space to the back. The outside spaces have been defined with latticed brick walling, and textures enhance this otherwise modest estate house creating some wonderful spaces that seamlessly blend inside and out.
We believe natural light is paramount to making spaces, and we've employed both top light and carefully positioned picture windows throughout to bring light in and snapshot views out from a multitude of angles, capturing moments and making the spaces alive with interest.
Combined with the homeowner's wonderful eclectic mix of soft furnishings has made this house a truly lovely home.

Small is beautiful!
This project in the conservation village of Nunnington is a little gem - using the timber from a large pine tree felled in the gardens, machined at a local saw mill, and the timbers used to construct this cute extension to improve the kitchen and dining space.
It's a real example of low-carbon creative thinking, and an absolutely beautifully crafted piece of architecture we think!

Community projects are always very fulfilling, from concept, fund raising, community involvement to delivery, each step is seemingly momentous, but the end results are always great to see come to fruition.

We're so pleased to be able to once again assist the Poppleton Community, not just as we are a Poppleton based practice, but also it's where we have many good friendships.

This additional space is really going to be put to good use, and the dance studio particularly will bring great joy and happiness.

We really enjoyed this challenge...A new build house in Belmont, Grenada on a steep sloping site. The glorious views have been captured by carefully crafting the plan layout to maximise the outlook, whilst maintaining a cool and peaceful interior space with a large covered veranda, for that lovely carribean indoor - outdoor lifestyle.

Really pleased to have gained planning consent for an extension and improvements to The Poppleton Centre. This is a fantastic community facility, well loved and used by the local residents and beyond.

The additional spaces will include further meeting rooms, a dance studio, library space, wheelchair friendly lift and facilities, and improved café seating and bar areas.
