Instead of tossing away a fallen plantain tree, we’re giving it new life by turning it into seedling pots. ♻️💚
It’s a simple, sustainable idea that you can try too — perfect for recycling and reducing waste in your garden!

Mini Harvest 🌶️
We honestly can’t remember the last time we bought hot peppers from the market! These beauties were grown right here at Farmacy Gardens from seeds we saved from peppers we once purchased.

It’s such a good feeling to save money on one of the staple ingredients used in almost every Ghanaian dish. No matter how small the harvest, we’re always so grateful for what the garden gives us. 🙏🏾💚

🌿Plant Spotlight: Lemongrass( AKA Fever Grass)🌿

Scientific name: Cymbopogon Citratus

At Farmacy Gardens, we love plants that heal from the inside out — and lemongrass is one of nature’s finest. Known for its refreshing citrus scent and soothing tea, this tropical grass also carries powerful wellness benefits.

Why We Love It🥰

* Supports digestion and helps calm inflammation.
* Helps to reduce fevers.
* Naturally rich in antioxidants that protect and renew the body.
* Promotes scalp health and strengthens hair, thanks to its antifungal and circulation-boosting properties.
*Can be used as a warm tea, a cooling rinse, or even in aromatherapy to uplift the senses.

We grow our lemongrass with care, honoring its long tradition as both food and medicine. Whether you sip it, breathe it in, or use it for your hair — let nature nurture you.

Herb of the Day: Butterfly Pea Flower (Clitoria ternatea)

What many call a wild w**d is actually a powerhouse of healing.
Rich in antioxidants, this vibrant blue flower supports women’s health, enhances skin glow, boosts memory, and calms the nervous system.

Science shows it helps balance hormones, ease stress, and nourish from within — a true gift from nature hiding in plain sight.

The Vanishing Green Spaces of Ghana — and Why We Must Act Now!!

Across Ghana, our green spaces are disappearing. What used to be vibrant lands filled with healing plants and natural life are now being replaced by concrete and construction. With every patch of green that’s cleared, we lose more than trees we lose our natural pharmacy.

In our own garden, we grow a plant called Acheampong (Chromolaena odorata) known for its powerful wound-healing and blood-stopping properties. For generations, this plant has helped communities heal naturally. But today, even finding Acheampong in places like Accra is becoming difficult.

That’s why Farmacy Gardens exists, to revive these lost green spaces and bring back the indigenous plants that once thrived on Ghanaian soil.

We’re not just planting herbs; we’re restoring heritage, wellness, and connection to the land that sustains us.
Every plant we grow is a step toward healing — not just our bodies, but our planet.

Let’s bring back the gardens that heal.💚
