Happy Mother’s Day

Thank you for introducing me these wonderful dresses - ‘Delicate Pages’ ; since Ashton was born my body has changed. It is exceedingly important, for me choose the right fabric to wear.
All time classic and essential wear has became an integral part of my life, so I can multitask and look appropriate whether I am online, at home, at work or with Ashton.

Mother’s Day Special-
Before I officially celebrate my first Mother’s Day, I wanted to throwback some special moments of my mom-to-be journey (when Ashton was still in my belly).
Ashton gave me so much energy that I was able to work till right before he was born 😆
There were lot of fun projects, interviews, events and moderating opportunities and here are a few highlights:

Regenerative Design Workshop

Thank you KODW for inviting me to host for the ‘Regenerative Design for Business’ workshop. To share what my studio consider as regenerative design and what we can contribute as a designer and not be a by-stander.

Workshop/
Regenerative Design for Business: Discovering Material Innovations at The Fabrick Lab

09 Sep 2022
HKG | 14:00 - 17:30 (GMT+8)

As the problems that regenerative design deals with are inherently complex, the solutions proposed by this discipline must also exist in multitudes. As such, it is crucial for innovators to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic through investigations in its system, business, social and material levels.

This workshop will start with how The Fabrick Lab creates and demonstrates material creation through prototyping with a multi-disciplinary approach, and going beyond, participants will be guided through the process to come up with a persuasive business statement and proposition that integrate varied aspects of regenerative design into the supply chain. Join us and learn how to establish a creative business in a collaborative manner, co-create a compelling presentation supported with sustainable materials, and pitch your ideas with the lingo of regenerative design.

2/ Moderating at KODW
Thank you KODW for inviting me as the moderator, it was such a fun session with Edwin Keh and Dr Andrew Dent to unwind new material process and new possibilities.

Session: Material Innovation for Designers
Speaker: Edwin Keh, Dr Andrew Dent
Many industries are responsible for an enormous amount of waste that typically end up in landfills, especially carbon-heavy sectors which use materials like plastics and cement. In recent years, however, designers, architects, and manufacturers have attempted to reduce their environmental footprint and provide sustainable alternatives by leveraging the discoveries of material science. Despite having a long way to go, scientists offer hope to designers and businesses willing to dive into innovation and adopt a regenerative mindset.

Earth Day weekend
Let’s celebrate what we are gifted by Earth.
By appreciating the beautiful nature, we must remind yourself what not to do, to destroy it and upset nature’s balance.
