What happens when a scientist transforms into a Virtual Lab Superuser?

Meet Eszterke, a Translational Scientist at Turbine. Her challenge? An approved ADC with proven clinical value, but a lingering question: could it work in other indications too? Finding those opportunities through traditional wet lab assays would require navigating enormous datasets and endless publications, all to arrive at a list of hypotheses that still lack ranking and mechanistic explanation. Instead, Eszterke turns to the Virtual Lab.

In under 5 minutes, you’ll see how Eszterke:
▪️ investigates massive Virtual Assays that cover thousands of cell lines treated with her chosen ADC,
▪️ identifies top responders and immediately flags which cell lines respond best,
▪️ cuts through the noise and gets comprehensive, actionable results in just a few hours.

No coding. Just intuitive work in a lab without limits. The result? Better-informed decisions, and a faster path to uncovering the full potential of therapeutic molecules.

Watch Episode 2 of our Superuser series and see how this all works.

🔮 What’s next for Virtual Cells?

A few weeks ago, our team — Kristóf Szalay, Dániel Veres, Gerold Csendes, and Imre Gáspár — visited the brilliant minds at Helmholtz Munich to discuss where Virtual Cell technology is heading and what it could mean for the future of drug discovery.

Cutting-edge research has always been integral to Turbine. As we continue productizing virtual assays, our North Star remains the same: understanding biology beyond the limits of the wet lab. This is the work we live every day. And now, we’re taking it further.

We’re excited to introduce TRAIL (Turbine Research & AI Labs), the computational biology arm of Turbine.

TRAIL is where our scientists and researchers push the boundaries of what’s discoverable about human cells: building the models that power our Virtual Lab and shaping what predictive biology looks like tomorrow.

Explore TRAIL’s channels to follow what we’re building.

Meet the Turbine team at World ADC South Korea 2026 🇰🇷

Jerźy Woźnicki, Scientific Project Lead, and Neeraj Rao, Business Development Director, will be attending the conference in Seoul from June 9–11.

We’re also excited to share that Jurek will share some insights on Virtualizing ADC Development. The session will explore how Turbine’s Virtual Lab enables predictive modeling and automated validation of ADC and payload responses across diverse molecular contexts at scale, from payload–indication ranking and synergistic dual-payload discovery to biomarker identification and resistance mechanism prediction. Jurek's talks tend to become an audience favorite, so this is definitely one to peek into 👀. Day One, Discovery track, noon.

We’ll also showcase how lab-in-the-loop Virtual Assays can accelerate the discovery of synergistic payload combinations for next-generation dual-payload ADC design.

If you’ll be attending World ADC in Seoul, come connect with us 👋

The best targets almost never reveal themselves 🔬

CRISPR screens are powerful, but available datasets only cover simplified and limited search spaces, while wet lab screens are slow and expensive. As a result, too many valid targets stay hidden.

In our upcoming webinar, Csilla Hegedűs (Senior Project Manager) and Krishna Bulusu (VP of Product Innovation & Strategy) will show how Turbine’s Virtual Lab allows running millions of in silico experiments to uncover what traditional screens miss: hidden dependencies, synthetic lethal pairs, mechanistic insights, and targets formerly invisible due to very limited therapeutic windows.

We will make the science tangible: stories presented through real-life case studies, showcasing a new way to rank and de-risk targets in weeks, instead of months or even years.

You should be in the room if you are working in target discovery or as a translational / computational biologist.

We’re on the road again, spreading the word about Virtual Cells. Next stop is Basel. 🇨🇭

Pier Giorgio Pacifici (Business Development Director) and Ákos Tarcsay (Senior Product Manager) will both be at Antibody Engineering & Therapeutics, May 27–29 at the Congress Center Basel.

Ákos has been invited to speak about ADC development in Turbine’s Virtual Lab.

He’s putting a long‑standing problem front and center. We know that resistance mechanisms are hard to crack, and finding the right synergistic payload combinations has so far been slow, expensive, and driven by trial and error. In Basel, Ákos will show how Turbine’s Virtual Lab approaches this differently, integrating transcriptomic, genomic, and protein–protein interaction data into virtual cell models trained on perturbation‑response profiles to screen payloads, synergistic payload combinations, and ADCs computationally, before anything hits the lab bench.

On May 27 at 16:15 CEST / 10:15 ET, he will also cover our virtual‑cell‑based screening framework for ranking and positioning payloads, synergistic payload partners and ADCs, automated in vitro validation, and virtual gene perturbation simulations for interrogating resistance pathways.

If you're attending, reach out at [email protected], we'd love to connect. Also, if you're at the conference, come find us at the presentation and share your thoughts afterwards 🙌

Our Virtual Biology Community Meetup continued, and it delivered.

In the second episode, on May 4, we covered something the field keeps coming back to. Can AI explain the outcomes of biological perturbations vs. just predicting them?

Theofanis Karaletsos (Co-founder, Achira, prev. Head of AI for Science at CZI) made the case for AI systems grounded in statistical physics — ones that reason about biology rather than just approximate it.

Daniel Burkhardt, PhD (NVIDIA) showed what it actually takes to move AI from a software layer to an active agent inside real lab workflows.

The panel that followed could have gone on all night, 45 mins were barely enough.

If you missed it, click the link below to re-watch! 👀
