Gunung Sahari House / WEN Urban Office, nominated to Building of the Year 2018

WEN Urban Office with Studio Kota Architecture win 2nd prize for Kapuas Tayan Bridge Competition. Our concept is to reconnect the whole island again before it was separated by Kapuas Tayan Bridge. Where the bridge divide the island in East and West. The Cloverleaf Interchange divide it in North and South. Stripe of tunnels along the bridge will be built as new link between these 4 Main Zones. The gradation of uses from Private to Public will be implemented
in these stripes. Private use is on the north, where most of facilities are designed for local communities. On the south, more public use programs are planned. Restaurants, museums and guest houses are located on south side of the island, where they get direct view to the bridge.

Taman Ismail Marzuki, 4-10 Desember 2015

Museum temporer REKOLEKSI MEMORI yang dibangun di atas pelataran Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki adalah museum 6 Hari, rumah untuk karya-karya seni dari Sigit Pratama, Elisabeth Ida, Yovista Ahtajida, Adrian Mulya , Kiki Febriyanti dan Jompet Kuswidananto.
Rumah seluas 278 meter persegi tersebut terdiri dari perancah-perancah yang disusun 4 tingkat sebagi elemen struktur utama. Dinding terdiri dari lapisan kawat ayam dan kain paranet hitam. Untuk melindungi karya seni dari hujan dan panas, atap tenda plafon menutupi keseluruhan area interior pameran.
Pencahayaan arsitektural bangunan mengandalkan lampu "LED stripes" sedangkan untuk interior menggunakan lampu "adjustable Downlight". Seluruh pencahayaan memberikan efek museum yang tetap berpendar dari kejauhan namun tersamar transparan saat dilihat dari dekat.
Karya ini merupakan simbol perlawanan generasi muda dalam menolak lupa akan ingatan sejarah kelam yang dilewati saat masa kecil dan sebagai pengingat bahwa kekerasan bukanlah jawaban dalam menyelesaikan perbedaan. (wendy)
