This premium wool/nylon green carpet was only a few months old when we were called in. Previous attempts to treat dog urine had severely bleached the colour in several areas, leaving one particularly large and obvious patch along with a number of smaller faded spots throughout the carpet.

Rather than replacing an almost new, top of the range carpet, we carried out a specialist colour restoration to rebuild the missing colour and dramatically improve the appearance.

A good example of how accidental bleaching doesn’t always mean the carpet is beyond saving.

We where recently in Dublin completing challenging stain repair job using our permanent dyes.

Stain was from puppy accident on this 100% light cream wool carpet. In person it actually looked almost white.
What makes it challenging is that stain area was distorted from previous scrubbing/cleaning attempts, making loop pile cast shaddows very differently and project true colours when wet different as well.
After countless rinsing passes to remove as much contamination as possible, I think we achieved good results saving customer repacement cost of this almost brand new carpet.

We took in this 100% wool rug at our workshop after a tea stain had been spilled on it. Naturally, the customer had tried every remedy in the cupboard and with no success. Other carpet cleaners also declared the stain permanent, claiming the fibres were damaged.

Thanks to our years of expertise in specialist stain removal, we fully restored the fibres and completely removed the stain.

We recently completed a colour restoration on this beautiful hand-knotted Kashan style Persian rug.

Kashan rugs are known worldwide for their detailed medallion design, hand-spun wool pile and rich traditional colours. They are extremely durable pieces, but like all hand-knotted wool rugs, they must be cleaned using the correct process.

Unfortunately this rug had previously been steam cleaned using an unsuitable method. The blue dye migrated across the ivory field and into the cotton fringe, leaving the rug with a heavy blue tone and very little colour definition.

After several hours of controlled dye correction and stabilisation, the rug has now been fully restored. The fugitive dye was safely removed, the fringe colour corrected and the original contrast brought back. The dyes were also properly set to help prevent any further bleeding.

The result is a rug that can be enjoyed again with clear colour separation and proper vibrancy.
Hand-knotted wool rugs require specialist knowledge. Moisture control, correct pH balance and understanding of dye behaviour are essential.

Almost 99.9% of our customers have mistaken bleach/colour damage on nylon or wool carpets with stains that can be cleaned.
