Make them work so you can play π
I am at the stage where I feel guilty if my hens can't free range everyday.
So on the occasion that they are cooped up for the weekend, this reel shows one of the ways I keep boredom at bay for them.
I also make sure their food and water self feeders are topped up, they have plenty of different areas to roost during the day and they have loose soil to scratch and dust bath in.
Bored hens don't just sit there quietly. They start finding trouble, which may lead to pecking and bullying each other.
So even if it is just for a short period of time or the odd weekend, I like to make sure they are kept entertained. Issues would generally just arise if this was their long term set up.
Any other suggestions, comment below.
