Here's a series of videos of me looking stressed, exhausted, heartbroken and in need of my hairdresser!

Install weeks are always mental, there is delays and your worried about getting finished on time. Things get broken which need to be replaced. Items are lost, you've to make a mad dash to the shops for an extra curtain pole! Your depending on everyone to pull together to make it work. But thats the reality of it - thats every install no matter how big or established your company is!

Then you get a phone call in the middle of the chaos that just floors you. Your heartbroken and want to be with the people who are hurting the most. But the best you can do is hide and have a good cry then come back out and crack on because there are 10 people on site looking for answers.

Its been a rough week guys thats why Ive been quit. But I came across this audio and thought that sums up the week - I do it anyways 🙌

Its been a LONG week but I honestly can not explain the excitement of seeing your designs come to life as all the prices start to slot into place...

I couldn't do this without all the lovely support:

●Amazing trades who go above and beyond to help out when needed. This business is all about the relationships you build with people - be kind and help each other out.

●Friends who you vent/cry/doubt yourself with because you know your safe with them. Its been a week of phone calls about things happening that ive needed them to remind me Ive got this!

●Family, its been a tough few weeks to be honest, my Dad had to have a stint fitted earlier this week. He's all good 🙏 but I was very worried about it. Huge thanks to Lars mam that when our school got threats of gun violence on Wednesday dropped everything and RAN to the school to get my kids!

●Lar, I'm doing silly hours this week and next week so I'm absent parent 🙋‍♀️ but he's picking up my slack and even making me packed lunches because he knows I'll forget to eat! (And be even more of a grumpy b***h)

●Clients, OMG I love my clients on these jobs. I always get very close to my clients and genuinely miss them when the project is over. But when your working for people you want the best for it makes everything so much better.

●Finally you guys! Thanks for making my social media world such a lovely place to be. I know I dont know you all (yet) but I feel your support so much and it means the world to me.

Now thats my update- I need to get out of bed now because I have my little ones birthday to organise today!!

Vulnerable post so be kind 🫶

About 3 years ago I really felt like closing White Meadow Interiors. I had trusted the wrong advice and and my better instinct and basically fxcked up!

I felt awful for letting someone down, I still do. I over analysed where I went wrong and thought it was best to give up at this and get a job. I spent about 3 weeks stuck to either my sofa or the bed, way to overwhelmed to leave the house. It was a really shi++y time.

Then my phone rang one day and it was someone who had been looking at my work on here for a while and really liked what I did and how I did it. So I went to meet them and all of a sudden I was fizzing again with ideas on how to change the space. Slowly I came back to life, that person who rang me has no idea how they helped me and how close I came to stopping this.

I cant tell you how greatful I was that I kept going and pushed through. To think of all the projects and the achievements since that time is just insane! And looking back at it all Im also actually greatful for the lessons I learned during that time. It made me a better designer, a better business woman who helps other business women push through when they need it.

So if this post has struck a cord with you, especially if your in the 1st stages of your business please know this:

Your always learning in business, your always doubting your decisions, your always striving to be better and give your clients the best possible outcome.

And finally please know this secret Ive found out from talking to lots of people at different stages in the business - no matter how successful you think someone appers on social media they have all doubted themselves and thought about giving up all the time but they just pushed through one more time.

So keep going - I believe in you ❤️
