Another Planning Granted in Co Kilkenny 😊 Delighted to receive planning permission for this contemporary new home in rural Co Kilkenny. The design was developed around a challenging sloping side with careful consideration given to the positioning and floor level to allow the house to sit naturally within the surrounding landscape with minimal visual impact. The single storey layout is divided into a series of simple forms separating the open plan living areas from the private bedroom wing. Externally, a simple palette of white render, natural limestone, timber detailing and standing seam roofing gives the house its contemporary feel. Looking forward to seeing this one progress to site in the coming months!!

Site Visit today to check in on one of our new builds. Some great progress has been made on site over the past few months, with external works now nearing completion.
The internal fit-out will commence shortly, so I’m really looking forward to seeing the final push to completion on this one. It’s great to see the final design taking shape, particularly the combination of White Render, Natural Stone, dark standing seam cladding and Natural slate, along with the large areas of glazing making the most of the stunning countryside views.

Looking forward to seeing this one finished in the months ahead.

Another Planning Approval!! Delighted to have secured planning permission for this striking contemporary extension to a dwelling on the outskirts of Carlow town. The brief was to alter and redesign the existing dwelling and to link with a new living area overlooking the garden. The result is a simple, modern extension wrapped in an anthracite standing seam cladding creating a clear distinction between old and new whilst tying the entire family home together. Large glazed openings and window seat in the kitchen provide ample natural light throughout the proposal and open the new space to the gardens. The existing dwelling will get a full facelift and retrofit to bring up the energy efficiency and allow a functional family home. A big thanks to the clients for trusting me with their vision and looking forward to construction stage.

A contemporary single storey family home currently lodged with Kildare County Council for planning. This dwelling features clean, minimalist forms with the H shaped design split into three zones. The exteriors feature multiple asymmetrical mono pitch roofs, a mix of white and grey renders, black vertical cladding and natural stone features. Large areas of glazing feature in the living room to maximise natural light and solar gain and give great views to a landscaped garden. This design also features a covered entrance and part covered rear living area along with a covered carport adjoining the side elevation. Overall, this design combines clean lines and high quality materials to create a bright, comfortable home tailored to modern family living.

Finally got back to site this morning to see this stunning transformation from a traditional derelict farm building to a contemporary countryside home in Co Kildare.
This completed barn conversion carefully preserves the original stonework and character of the building while introducing bright, modern living spaces designed for everyday comfort.
Natural materials, timeless details, and a finish that sits perfectly within its farmyard surroundings. I have loved working on this barn conversion/restoration project with TJ client and the builder and the finishes are outstanding from all involved.

Planning Permission has been granted for this contemporary extension to a cottage in Co Kildare. The plan is to demolish an old poorly built extension to the rear and construct a new design that complements the existing cottage. The new extension features staggered roof heights ensuring that the cottage is not overpowered. A busy and productive week on site in Ballylinan, Co Laois with the set out of two detached and two semi detached houses. The rising walls have been installed by the Castleforms team with the concrete pour now completed. Next week will see the bases of these houses completed by Cahill Crafts to keep things moving along. Excellent progress all round 👏
