This residence for a Family of Doctors was designed on a sloped site with a gradient of around 1 : 3 slope. This Urban contemporary residence was conceptualized and built blending the site context to accommodate and maximise the amazing views of the Green cover towards Bangalore University, integrating the spaces to blend with Landscape pockets internally as well.

INSTITUTIONAL PROJECT:

Project: Phase 01 – SJCE, PUC COLLEGE, Jnana Jyothi Education Trust.
Location: Gandhinagar, Bhadravati.
Site Area: Approx 45,000 Sft
Built Up Area: 39,000 Sft.
Project completion: March 2021

The Project has undergone a Series of revisions in terms of its Planning, Massing, Expression and Overall design due to Budget, Time and Ex*****on issues. The Original campus was conceptualized in a total of 3 phases. The master plan was designed to enable all the 3 phases to Co-exist in a synchronized arrangement. All the phases connected through corridors opening in to a central courtyard, therefore forming a shaded introvert building, adhering also to Vastu Principles.

The current Structure is only the Phase 01 which was completed under very Tight budget constraint and under COVID restrictions. The Phase 01 is comprised of Laboratories, Class rooms, Administration Facilities, Ladies waiting room, Staff Room, Toilets, Indoor sports room, Multifunctional hall etc.

HOSPITALITY PROJECT:

Project: Cosmo Club, Family club.
Location: Malligenahalli, Shimoga.
Site Area: Approx 6 Acres
Project completion: Developed In Phases.


The Project being a Public building and being funded by a Public Trust has been slowly evolving over a decade now. The Masterplan was conceptualized in 2010 which comprised of Renovating a Existing building as Clubhouse block, Swimming pool with ancillary facilities, A 3-star Accommodation and Restaurant building, Outdoor Congregation area for Parties and gathering, Sports building, Tennis court, Basket ball court, Kids play area etc. Currently the Clubhouse, Entrance Security structure, Swimming pool, Kids play area, Outdoor dining, Entertainment Block are complete. The construction of Multifunction Building is in progress and the Front office block is scheduled to start by May 2021.

This residence was designed as a 'CONTEMPORARY COURTYARD HOUSE' as the client's requirement was to live in a courtyard House.
The courtyard here is Central and Triple height atrium like space with a Large Skylight which acts as fulcrum of the house and brings in ample light all through the day.
The house is designed to be Vastu complaint with Puja on the water body, a mix of Traditional stone to Plush Italian marble and all other such contempary finishes.
The residence is equipped with a outdoor garden, AV room, Elevator,Bar, Terrace garden to name a few.

This project was conceived as a leisure Farm house in the outskirts of Bangalore. The clients wanted the feel of the bygone traditional courtyard house with a feel of their yesteryears.
The materials & the finishes were sourced accordingly to suit their requirements. A modest attempt to capture the current needs in a traditional design.
Materials & finishes:
Walls & Floor: Hollow Clay bricks, Local natural Granite, Traditional tiles & Oxide cement Flooring.
Doors, Windows & Artifacts: Sourced From recycled traditional Chettinad bungalows.
