Nawabi Chicken Curry

This royal dish is simply magical with its delicious aroma, texture and lip-smacking taste. Nawabi Chicken has an exceptional flavour.
There are some great ingredients which goes in preparation of Nawabi Chicken. Curd, nuts, brown onions and some Indian whole spices. The combination of all these ingredients will take your dish to some other level. Eat Nawabi Chicken with jeera rice, parathas or naan it goes will with anything.
Nawabi Chicken Curry
Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken -1/2 kg
Curd -[1/2 cup for marination + 1/4 cup for making brown onion paste]
Ginger-Garlic paste -1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon heaped
Dhaniya powder - 1 teaspoon heaped
Haldi - 1/2 teaspoon
Jeera powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Saffron a pinch
Kasoori methi - 2 teaspoon
1 - 2 onions sliced & fried to light medium brown
Cashew - 6-8 pieces
Amul fresh cream - 1/4 cup
Butter - 1 teaspoon
Oil 1/4 cup
Method:
Wash & clean the chicken pieces.
Marinate chicken pieces with 1/2 cup curd, ginger garlic paste, red chilli pwd, dhaniya pwd, haldi, jeera pwd & salt for 1/2 hour.
Blend together fried onions, 1/4 cup curd & cashews to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan & add the brown onion paste & sauté for few minutes.
Add the marinated chicken & mix well with the brown onion paste.
Sprinkle the saffron & cover the lid. Let it cook on medium flame for 20 mins.
After 20 minutes check the consistency of the gravy, if thick add little water.
Lastly add the fresh cream, garam masala pwd, butter & kasoori methi.
Let it cook for 5 minutes on a very low flame.
Serve garnished with sliced badam & chopped coriander.
