WICCI Rajasthan Architecture 2026 Event 5.0: Fold to Build

The wait is over!

After the wonderful energy of our “Visual Analogue” session, we are thrilled to bring to you the 2nd workshop of our _Explorations with Paper_ series.

Meet our expert, Aditi Anuj of Adigami Aditi Anuj ADIGAMI Studio What began as an Origami elective at NID became a lifelong passion. Today, she crafts stunning, life-sized paper installations for architectural spaces.

Feel free to see her magic here:

In this workshop, Aditi will teach us one powerful foundational fold — a single fold that unfolds into surfaces, waves, patterns, and even a sphere. Eventually, helping us explore our designs through Origami.
As a takeaway, we will build a _Kusudama_ that we can take home.

Architecture school was only the introduction. ✏️🏗️

The real lessons? They show up everywhere—in a stubborn material, an unexpected site challenge, a conversation with a craftsperson, a mentor’s one-line advice, or even a mistake we never make twice.
We learn from people. We are influenced by experiences. And somewhere along the journey, we begin mentoring and influencing others too.

This July, we celebrate Learning • Influence • Mentorship—because the best architects are never really “done” learning.

The degree may be framed on the wall. The learning stays in motion. ✨

The truest material in an architect’s toolkit cannot be bought, quarried, or manufactured. It is the shifting, living geometry of the sun. ☀️📐
As designers, we spend weeks obsessing over spatial envelopes—concrete mixes, timber details, and glass coefficients. But the true test of a built environment is how it negotiates with natural light.

Daylighting isn't just a sustainable box to tick for green certifications; it is a fundamental biological necessity. When we pull natural light deep into a floor plate using deep light shelves, atriums, or strategic orientation, we aren't just saving kilowatt-hours. We are designing for human biology.

By introducing dynamic lighting ranges—scaling from soft morning hues to high-intensity midday sun—we actively lower occupant cortisol, eliminate static eyestrain, and boost cognitive performance by up to 18%.

Let's talk 📢
To my fellow architects and designers:
What is your preferred structural strategy or passive detailing method to maximize daylight while controlling glare and thermal gain?
Let's talk detailing below. 👇

WICCI Rajasthan Architecture Council Event 2.0

A big thanks to Mr. Nikhil Totuka ( ) for an incredibly insightful session on Financial Literacy for Architects at WICCI Rajasthan Architecture in association with IIA Rajasthan Chapter.

From taxation & compliance to investments and business structuring — this was exactly the kind of real-world knowledge architects need and rarely get.

Thank you to Ar. Rekha Nemani ( ) and Ar. Sangeeta Maithel ( ) for putting it all together so beautifully.

Until the next one!
