Delhi's Most Addictive Butter Chicken l Aslam Style | No Tandoor Needed
This is NOT your regular butter chicken. Delhi's Aslam-style recipe has been keeping food lovers hooked for decades, and now you can make it at home.

What makes it different from regular butter chicken?
No tomato gravy. No onion base. Just pure, unapologetic richness, straight from the streets of Old Delhi.
Ingredients & Full Recipe:
Marination (400–500g boneless or bone-in chicken):
Salt, lemon juice, black pepper, garam masala, tandoori masala, a pinch of nutmeg, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, kewra water, jeera powder, chaat masala, mustard oil, and roasted besan. Marinate for 30 minutes.
Cooking:
Air fryer at 200°C for 15–20 minutes (flip midway for char) or tawa fry until cooked and slightly charred.
Creamy Butter Mix:
½ cup thick beaten curd + ½ cup heavy cream + ½ tbsp salt + ½ tbsp sugar + ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder + 1 tbsp chaat masala. Mix well, add the cooked chicken, then pour in ¼ to ½ cup melted butter. Mix thoroughly, taste, adjust, and serve.
Rich. Easy. Dangerously good. Try it once, and you'll understand why this recipe has a cult following across India.

Chicken Tandoori is a favorite for so many of us and making it in the air fryer with only 1 tablespoon of oil makes it even better.
This recipe is easy, healthier than traditional frying or grilling, and full of beautiful smoky-spicy flavor.

Here’s how I made it:

I used:
2 chicken leg pieces (about 200 g each, skin-on)

First marination:
Marinate the chicken with lemon juice and salt for 30 minutes.

Second marination:
Add:
• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tbsp red chilli powder
• 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
• 1 tbsp cumin powder
• 1 tbsp coriander powder
• 2 tbsp chicken tandoori masala
• 2 tbsp thick curd / yogurt
• 1 tbsp oil
• A little chilli flakes
• Black pepper powder
• Salt to taste

Mix well and marinate for 2 hours to overnight.

Air fryer cooking:
Air fry at 185°C for 30 minutes, then at 225°C for 15 minutes.

Serve with green chutney and onion rings and enjoy.

A simple, flavorful, and healthier tandoori recipe made right at home.
