The presence of a landscaped open space introduces a serene and calming atmosphere that contrasts with the typically clinical environment of medical facilities. The garden court on the first floor is directly accessible from the waiting area, offering visitors an alternative and more relaxed space while they wait.

Square grey tile flooring extends the architectural language of the grid pattern into the landscape, with integrated planters introducing greenery within the courtyard. The corridor, which also functions as a temporary waiting space, opens out into the garden, allowing natural light and views of the landscape to permeate the interior circulation areas. This connection between indoor spaces and the garden enhances the overall experience of the clinic, creating a more welcoming and restorative environment for patients and visitors.

KE Dental

KE Dental is a purpose-built dental facility located in Vakathanam, Kottayam, on a site adjacent to the main road. From the outset, the client envisioned a building that would establish a strong visual identity and create a striking presence along the busy commercial corridor.

The front portion of the site was intentionally left open, forming a welcoming arrival forecourt for visitors. The cantilevered reception block on the first floor dramatically hovers over this entry space, enhancing the building’s visual character. This volume is distinguished by its square yellow tile cladding reinforcing the clinic’s recognizable identity along the street.
