The core idea behind La Linea was to blend a designer’s and manufacturer’s perspectives in creating furniture. As the name suggests, La Linea represents a line regulated by a specific design orientation, forming an infinite loop that culminates in a chair design. This concept integrates both design and manufacturing considerations. The chair is digitally crafted and designed for semi-automated fabrication using 3-axis CNC machining and digital component mapping. This approach allows the designer to manufacture the chair without requiring traditional carpentry skills, thus broadening the scope for designers to create components without being constrained by manufacturing complexities.
