Mom’s homemade hari mirch ka achar 💚
De-seeded green chillies, so it’s mild, but full of flavour!

What do you eat achar with: dal-chawal or paratha or poori? 🫙🌶️

I was never an Italian food person. Then this happened🍝
Give me punchy, desi flavours any day!
Then I met someone who said,
“I like simple food. Let the flavour speak.”

His favourite?
A very quiet, very honest plate of Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!

I was scared the first time I made it.
Because somehow, the simpler the dish, the easier it is to mess it up.
But when he took a bite and said, “This is the best I’ve ever had,”
I knew… this one deserved a place in our kitchen stories.

Simple ingredients.
Slow garlic.
Pasta water magic.
And a whole lot of heart🤍

Save this recipe for days when you want comfort without chaos.
And share it with your pasta person ❤️

I didn’t even like meetha… things have changed now though 🙈
but one winter morning I woke up craving gajar ka halwa.
Maybe it was the cold. Maybe I was missing home.
And maybe that’s how some recipes find you.

Christmas has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember - school choirs, singing carols, reciting psalms, midnight mass, and that unmistakable December feeling ❄️
But at home, Christmas has always had its own rhythm ❤️

For decades now, our Christmas lunch has been tahiri.
A tradition started by my dadi, carried forward year after year - quietly, lovingly, without ever calling it a “tradition”.

Winter special tahiri, made with the freshest produce - carrots, matar, chukandar and paired with papad, homemade achaar, hari chutney and dahi. Earlier, it was always eaten sitting out in the sun🌞
Today, the sun stayed, but the monkeys didn’t allow us the luxury! Some things change, some things don’t ✨

What didn’t change is this:
Tahiri on Christmas is non-negotiable!

And when my parents sent me a photo of their thali today, it hit me - this isn’t just a meal.
It’s memory, comfort, continuity 🧿
A reminder that some traditions don’t need occasions… but sometimes, an occasion makes them feel extra special!

We anyway find excuses to eat tahiri (at least once a week 😄), but Christmas tahiri will always be sacred.

🎥 I’ll be sharing my super special tahiri recipe very soon!
do you want to know how I cook it?

Wishing you all a very warm, comfort-filled Christmas 🤍🎄

Some days just need garlic, olive oil and pasta! 🍝

This was one of those midweek, brain-tired evening, where cooking becomes essential to calm myself down! No rules, just pure comfort ❤️

Tell me - are you team OG Aglio Olio or Team Extra Toppings?! ⬇️
