Before ex*****on starts, we wanted to share this part of the journey.
The House of AP was never just about final visuals. It was about understanding routines, solving practical concerns, refining details, and building clarity before ex*****on even began.
Ajinkya & Prachi trusted the process from the very beginning, and that made the entire journey collaborative, honest, and meaningful.
Design journeys like these slowly teach you something beyond spaces.
Over time, the biggest change isn’t style, it’s mindset.
You learn to stay calm, show up again, and solve problems without panic.
That’s what design teaches you beyond drawings and materials.

A home is rarely shaped by finishes alone.
What truly changes the experience of a space are the quieter layers added into it over time.

The warmth of the fabric,
lighting that shifts the mood throughout the day,
textures that soften the space,
and objects that bring character without overwhelming it.

For Anandanilayam, FF&E was approached as an extension of the architecture itself — carefully curated to bring warmth, balance, and a lived-in feeling while maintaining a clean and minimal design language.

As architects and interior designers, we see these elements not as decoration, but as part of how a home functions, feels, and ages with the people living in it.

Good spaces are not only designed to look aesthetic.
They are designed to feel comfortable, personal, and timeless in everyday life.

This did not start as a pattern.
We began with the pergola.
Spent time on site understanding how light moves through it.
Shadows were traced, tested, and recorded.
The geometry came out of that exercise.
Rangavalli informed the system.
Not as ornament, but as a way to organise what was observed.
The ground was then set out to receive it.
Adjusted on site, against actual light.
At 12:00 pm, it aligns.
The rest of the day, it shifts.

Design Intent → Site Progress

Every project begins with drawings that establish intent — proportions, materials, and spatial relationships.

On site, these ideas slowly take form through craftsmen, coordination, and constant adjustments.

Sharing a few moments from the Rangavalli residence while it is still under ex*****on — where the rangavalli-inspired flooring, ceiling grid, and niche wall begin to define the family lounge.

At first glance, this reads as white.
It isn’t.

We didn’t design a white wall.
We designed a surface that responds to light.

The CNC relief sets the geometry.
We calibrated the PU finish to stay quiet in daylight and reveal depth under grazing light.

As the day moves, the surface shifts.
Brass sconces pull out shadow. The form sharpens.

Nothing here is decorative.
Every decision was deliberate.

Architecture is not always about adding.
It is about control.

Material honesty demands ex*****on discipline.

At Wave by Raghava, Studio Artha conceived the common areas as a continuous concrete-lime texture — walls and ceilings treated as one unified surface.

Achieving consistency in large-scale texture finishes requires calibrated application, technical precision, and architect-led site supervision.

When you enter this home, the kitchen was earlier in direct view from the main door.
The client wanted privacy—keeping in mind how an Indian kitchen is used—without shutting the space down.

We introduced a light divider door with rattan sandwiched between glass, finished in PU.
It zones the living–dining and kitchen, filters light, and avoids the weight of a solid door.

The same detail continues into the puja room, so the common areas stay connected and read as one.
