Breathing with the Earth: Earth Air Tunnel System.🍃

At our firm, we believe architecture should harmonize with nature. In our recent eco-friendly project designed for Ethika Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd., we implemented an Earth Air Tunnel System—a passive climate control technique that uses the earth’s stable underground temperature to naturally cool or warm incoming air.

🌡️ How It Works:
The system includes:

An air inlet (above ground)

An underground tunnel (~2 meters deep)

An air outlet into the building

The earth's constant temperature helps moderate the air before it enters indoor spaces.

☀️ Summer: Cooling Effect
Outside Air: ~35°C

Tunnel Air: ~25°C

Indoor Air: ~25°C

Hot air enters through the inlet, travels underground, and cools naturally before entering the home—reducing or eliminating the need for AC.

❄️ Winter: Heating Effect
Outside Air: ~12°C

Tunnel Air: ~22°C

Indoor Air: ~22°C

Cold air is pre-warmed as it passes through the tunnel, helping maintain a comfortable indoor climate without electric heating.
