VN House is a 3BHK apartment of 1100 Sq. Ft. area located in Surat, Gujarat. The main objective of designing this house was to give each space an identity with colors and textures.
The Living Room has a decent gray background complemented by 3 canvas paintings that highlights the groove pattern. Sense of flow created through groove patterns on cement textured walls, rendered through colors on canvas, acts as a background for the entire living space. Same cement texture is extended throughout the ceiling, being overlapped by white finishes on the false ceiling.
On the opposite end, the TV unit is a partition covered in charcoal sheet with black and wooden base finish.The sofa is curated in a distinct color with a lounge on the other side, that allows oneself to peek into the outer environment. Green plants splash color and life into space. Three-legged center table of a triangular top sits perfectly on the rug that has contrasting color and detailed print that occupies the central space. These two pieces can be arranged as per the requirements.
We designed the dining place for VN House such that it is adjacent to the Living room making it easier to have access to kitchen and maintaining privacy. The dining table has the same granite top as kitchen platform and standing on circular blue colored leg. It is paired with the chairs that follows the same design language as sofa, to be used in living space too.
